Whatever works for her. Wink

I actually did not see many sailors there. However, I noticed the following break-down of military people as follows:

1)  Air force personnel as there is a large air force base there.
2)  Navy men -- not necessarily sailors. There is a small naval base there.  This could include pilots or personnel stationed on Guam for a couple of years.

3)  A few marines as I think there was at the time a very small marine branch or something.

A lot of them could be found at the beach. Wink

Hi everyone,

Thought I'd officially introduce myself.  Thanks to Sheryl for a warm welcome so far.

I live over in the U.S. and just started working on an organic veggie CSA (Community Supported Agriculture) farm.  It has been great.  I travel up to New York City once in a while and D.C.

I used to be a software tester in my previous life.  Wink

I grew up on the island of Guam which is north of Australia.

I've been raw for over 2.5 years.

Below is a pic of me and a fellow Aussie of yours I believe:  David Jubb.  He has so much energy and is vibrant.   I did not realize at the time he was a breatharian (I might have asked some more questions!  Oh well - next time I'm in NYC).

I hope to take a raw cheffing class some day and get certified as a raw chef.

I'm attracted to this forum because of the great people here.  Sheryl has always been very helpful and friendly.

Thank you Miss Bliss for your help as well!  Tasmania sounds cool.

Am currently focusing on the outback section of Australia so we shall see...

Sheryl, thanks!   I took that photo of the rainbow and there was another faint rainbow   above it so there was a double rainbow that day.

Harley, that's awesome you're finding all this fruit.

Is the 3rd pic from the top  Mulberries (the one with the red & purple berries)?   I ask because I've been picking them here in the U.S. ...

Hafa Adai (hello),

I grew up on the island Guam which is north of Australia.  I now live in the U.S.

Anybody from Guam or used to live on Guam?

Thank you Sheryl!  I will definitely check that book out.  I love wild edible books that are in color (I have one for the North American continent).

Nothing is definite now but I'm looking to visit Oct-Dec.  As for the area, it's still an "adventure" right now so nothing is definite.

P.S.  That is such a wonderful pic of you & your husband.  smiley

Hi everyone,

I'm new to this forum.  I go by Rosal on another forum and some of you may know me.

I'm contemplating going to Australia sometime later this year.  I'd like to like on wild foods.  I thought to myself, what better place to ask a question about wild edible foods than on this board!   smiley

Can anyone list popular weeds or edible food that's grown in the outback?  Also, if you have a wild edible food book that you recommend, would love to hear it.

Thank you,

Rosal
