16  PleasureTalk - The Discussion Area / RAW Fitness & Health / bruising easily?! Any ideas?! on: Monday 03 November, 2008
i was given a massage the other day with a hand held vibrating massager that made me itchy from the tingling...so i had a scratch...hard but no that hard and not for long...and a coupla hours later i noticed that i have spotty bruising on my arm and back where i scratched. wasn't too concerned as i figured it was just due to the extra bloodflow to the area due to the vibration and that i'd busted some small blood vessels.

Then, in the middle of the night i hada scratch of a spot on my thigh (barely even scratched it...not hard scratching and only for about 3-4 seconds) )and this morning i noticed that i have the same pin point spotty bruising all over the area i scratched.

so i'm thinking i'm iron deficient. any ideas or anyone else experienced this too? BTW i'm 33 and am breastfeeding my almost 7mo daughter (second child).
17  Locally RAW / Australia & New Zealand / Re: Tasmania Come to Launceston 9th November on: Friday 31 October, 2008
I find Tasmainian people are like British people...traveling more than 30 mins is a long way to go for anything. Where I grew up in North Qld we traveled between 1 and 6 hours each way to play sport every weekend and 30kms there and back for school everyday Smiley Amazing how it's all about perspective isn't it!

Hope you have a nice day Patricia and Co...I'd come if I were in Tassie!

20  Fascinating RAW Facts! / RAW Facts, Info and Science / Re: How to Eat a Mango on: Thursday 30 October, 2008
mmm, mangoes! I just brought home a 10kg box of ripe, juicy, yummy organic mangoes from work today...just $42!! I'm in heaven. Bhala and I devoured 3 as soon as we got home from work. Ok, well, I devoured them and Bhala was throwing herself at them as I was eating them sucking her little heart out with a deliciously wicked grin on her face. She'd sink her mouth into the flesh so far it was almost going up her nose and then start this snorting, wicked laugh she does! It was so funny Smiley I also got a ctn of ripe cavendish bananas...13kg for $32. Heaven, I'm in heaven...

Can't wait for you two to come visit us up here in Sunny Qld Eve and Neety. Will have to bring a box of my magoes to the beach for a mango madness beach party Smiley

24  PleasureTalk - The Discussion Area / RAW Chat / Re: THE RAW CARAVAN in Australia!!!!!!!!!! on: Sunday 26 October, 2008
HI Matti,

I may well be up for the first 2 months of this journey! I was planning on packing up and traveling with my daughter during December while my son is at his dad's for 4 week's, then traveling for another month with him also when I get him back on the 2nd January (would fly him to wherever I am in Oz to meet up with us). Don't know how you feel about kidlets on this trip. My two are pretty awesome little souls...very friendly and outgoing so love meeting new people and doing new things. BOth raw in my presence (son eats cooked at his dad's). I understand that some people may not want to travel with children but I hope that raw folk would understand the essence of community is for all ages to be valued and respected.

Anyway, let me know and hopefully we can get this happening and get some other folk onboard Smiley
