ROFL!!!

Thanks for the laughs ladies!!!

Yeah May, I'm single and don't get anywhere near enough adult interaction...i love my 4yo son but i get over discussing Mutant Ninja Turtles, KNights and Superman very easily. Come to think of it...most men I meet bore me to tears also. Where are all the smart, health conscious, non-conforming, happy, go-getting, motivated single men??? Anywhere within a 10 year radius of my age would be good  kiss

Wots the difference between a blonde and a jumbo jet? NOt everybody's been on a jumbo jet!! ANd yes I am a natural blonde but i still think it's funny!! LOL!  rolleyes

Nice one May!! LOL!!

Horse walks into a bar...Barman says, "Why the long face?"

Get it?!?! I love that joke.

And from my breastfeeding days this one was a favourite...

What do you find between an old ladies breasts that you don't find between a young ladies breasts?

Her belly button!!!!

LOL....I'm loving this. ONe of the downsides to working from home is the lack of adult interaction and communication...so thanks for being my workmates everyone Smiley Have a great arvo xo
216  Go RAW! The Testimonial Section! / RAW Journals - Your RAW Experiences / Re: fasting...the day 9 demons on: Tuesday 22 May, 2007
Thanks PB...I can highly recommend the fast but do it when you know you're ready cos it takes a lot of mental commiment...and know why you are doing it so when the munchies hit you can remind yourself what your intentions are.

I'm exercising everyday other than the day my period started when I spent a lot of the day in bed to allow my body to rest. I'm just not exercising hard...though I did play representative indoor cricket on night  6...just make sure you drink heaps and I'd suggest doing as Don Tolman suggests and that is making sure you consume small amounts of a good salt.

Let me know when you're going to fast when the day comes and I'll happily be a support for you. Smiley

Hi All,

I'm on day 9 of a 40 day fast (juice and water only...plus celtic sea salt in small amounts and psyllium and clay to move the * through  rolleyes ) and I've been loving the changes as my body heals even though some of them have been unpleasant. I've been feeling fairly strong but I have to say, I'm having a bit of the "I WANNA EAT"S !!!!!" this afternoon. I've rested, sunbathed, drunk juice and read about fasting and how great it is and these are all great but these thoughts have not gone away. I think I need to chant my mantra, "A compulsive thought does not have to become a compulsive action!!" to myself for a while...or go do an enema (I know....horrible thought but has amazingly quick results of clearing away fasting/detox blues and grumpiness. Anyway, just wanted to share what i'm going through with some people who might understand and offer some support rather than say, "You crazy &#%@$...eat something!!!"  evil

Well, I feel better already for having had a whinge...thanks. Hope you're all having a fabbo afternoon xo

Well your mum was probably telling the truth Katie. When Malakai first bit me I screamed so loud and yanked him off my boob and told him in a harsh voice that if he ever did that again he would not get boobies. He got such a fright he never did it again on purpose.  This may seem harsh but trust me, it was instinctual and instantaneous and it worked. He loved boobie juice (his words!) that there was no way he was going to risk losing boobies. Problem solvered!! The only bites i got after that was when he was falling asleep at the boob and as the nipple would start to slip out, his jaw would clench instinctively and the only way to stop it without waking him was to push my finger in between his teeth and pry his jaw open. Good luck Smiley

Hi Earthmum...no offense taken...i was offering advice rfom the assumption that he was a healthy bubb and you were just having problems with milk supply....had i know he had been il;l i may have spoken differently. But I'm curious as to where you heard that you can't go cold turkey off formula? Is this medical theory...oz i don't give a lot of credence to medical information...and i wanted to be a doctor till i did my health science degree as pre-med and realised how screwed up their ideas are...they're powered by the pharmaceutical industry and are taught about death and disease not about how to be well. IN Qld Uni's medical degree there is not one compulsory nutrition subject?!?! Go figure Smiley

Good luck with the transition from formula to Bfdg exclusively...trust your mummy intuition...it's there for a reason...and most importantly believe in yourself and enjoy xo

Hi Katie,

As I said in another post to you on another thread before I breastfed my son till 3y 4m old and know heaps of mums who have done extended breastfeeding and it's easy. If you want to ask more feel free to PM me or alternatlively check out www.naturalparenting.com.au...it has a great forum with heaps of mums on there who've done extended breastfeeding and many are from over your way. Take care, Georgia Smiley
222  PleasureTalk - The Discussion Area / Raw Pregnancy and Kids / Re: Raw food advice for kiddies...? on: Sunday 20 May, 2007
Hi Kate,

My son breastfed till he weaned himself at 3years and 4months and exclusively BF till i stupidly offered him some mashed pumpkin at age 6months. He squirmed and cried for about 5 hours until he did a poo and out cme the pumpkin exactly as it looked when it went in...totally undigested!!! So I ditched that and then only offered him a bit of mashed avo or banana for the next 6 months till he started showing more interest in eating. He dfinitely preferred the boob uo till 12- 18months and food was just something for a bit of fun and different taste and to smear everywhere! LOL!! And he thrived...in fact he was huge....only 3.5kgs at birth but was 10 1/2 kgs at 6 months from the BF and was 13kgs by 1 year...weight gain slowed due to his constant activity from 6 onths with crawling and walking.

Tust your gut instincts!!! You'd be surprised what a mother knows intuitively...and learn to sieve the information you hear for the truth that resonates within you. Good luck and enjoy! Parenting is an amazing journey.

Love Georgia Smiley

YUmmo!!!!!!!!!!! I'm on day 7 of my 40 day fast and loving it...and this w'melon and ginger juice has been a favourite this past few days. Gone off it a bit today and made a lovely citrus juice earlier..half a ruby red grapefruit, 1/2 a lemon, and 4 mandarins all hand juice and it was deeeeeeeeeeeeelicious!!
