thanks for the company Pinky and Gosia Smiley How'd you both go today? Are you coffee free today Gosia? Maybe you could replace coffee with raw cocoa balls or with almond milk or something so you still get your caffeine and then wean yourself off your cocoa caffeine addiction slowly?

Kebs...i was like that with the social events...but they're always going to be there. This weekend i'maway at a festival for 3 days and so i will continue to take it one day at a time. right now i'm feeling so good i want to stay raw but instead of putting the pressure on by saying this is it for 40 or 100 days or forever, by just doing it for one day, it's making it so much easier for me to stay commited to myself. 3 days down and it's been way easier than i thought it'd be Smiley I have no rules other than 100% raw for the day. I could eat raw chocolate all day if i want to or heaps of nuts or whatever raw i want. it's made it easy with less rules and i've been living on GS and juice and fruit and some nuts.

Anyway, i need sleep. Thanks for you rcompany today and maybe I'll do another day raw tomorrow...

i had a few emotional challenges and really wanted to eat crap but cried and talked instead about what was upsetting me and the eating impulse went away. Yay for me!!

lovin' the company pinky Smiley

the only reason i'm taking a few supps is that i've been really slack diet wise since Bhala's birth and i feel i've run myself down so wanted to take a few minerals mainly whilst i get my raw diet back on track with lots of greens.

Panda once said to me when i was getting back into raw, take it one day at a time. just aim to stay raw for that day and don't put pressure on yourself for anything further ahead. Less overwhelming Smiley

I'm a woman, not a pre-pubescent girl, therefore I leave all my body hair intact. I feel no urge to remove that which naturally grows on me...i see it as an extension of natural hygiene. It's the patriarchy we live in that wants us all shaved, plucked, waxed and hairless. I'm not interested in conforming to society's expectations Smiley

Thanks Sanghama Smiley

I made 1L of juice (parsley, taat tsoi, barley grass, carrot, celery, apple, ginger, beetroot) this morning and am half way through it. i took some supplements also coz i'm breastfeeding (zinc, c, calcium, b vits) and I was feeling great...out hanging clothes on the line in this lovely spring morning sun...then within about 10 mins I felt nauseous and had a small chuck. So I've had a few macadamias to put something a bit more solid in with the vitamins coz from past experience this has made me vomit before...tablets on an empty or juicy stomach. Think i may have a bit more to eat now but feeling good about my decision to do the one day raw challenge....definitely removes the daunting feeling of commiting to anything longer. Yay!

Ok, Bhala's waking...gotta run xo

hey Neet...lovely to hear how you are Smiley

i struggle with the concept of facing 10,20, 40 or 100 days raw...so i'm starting with one! and each day when i get up i will aim to do just 1 day raw...rather than dreaming about being 100% raw one day Smiley

So I'm off to bed now and when I arise later today I will make this a raw day.  ohyeah
75  Go RAW! The Testimonial Section! / RAW Journals - Your RAW Experiences / Re: 100 day raw food challenge for those who want to join on: Monday 15 September, 2008
i think i need to do this but 100 days just seems so daunting. i've been struggling emotionally A LOT since falling pregnant last year and especially since Bhala's birth. My whole world seems to have been thrown in a tumbledryer and it's been a hell of a ride. Still don't know where i stand on a lot of things. i know i feel better on raw but i don't feel ready to give up the nurturance that eating cooked gives me emotionally.

Free...i'd be keen to hear more re: your pain vs pleasure associations. Have you posted about it anywhere here on RP?

Neet/Jen and anyone else who comes from an eating disorder history...how have you moved through the emotional associations with food and the fear that comes up when thinking about commiting to raw and the deprivation/rebellion that surfaces inside?
