1  PleasureTalk - The Discussion Area / RAW Chat / Juicing on: Thursday 04 September, 2008
I'm wondering if it is ok nutritionally to make up a big lot of juice that will last me a few days.  Does it lose nutrients if left to sit for any amount of time?  I'm trying to get out of cleaning the juicer 4 times a day.

Cheers
2  PleasureTalk - The Discussion Area / RAW Chat / Transitioning foods on: Monday 01 September, 2008
Which foods are the best of the bad bunch when transitioning?  As I'm still on medication I need to eat quite a substantial meal in the mornings.  I'm trying to follow food combining as well as I can.  Would, for instance, oat porridge with soy milk be better than a few pieces of rye toast or does it not really make any difference.  Is there something that I can combine with the fruit I'm eating in the morning without going against the food combining rules too much?

Thanks!!

Thanks everyone for your replies.  I will let you know how I get on, I'm sure I'll have many more questions for everyone soon.

I recently purchased the book, "Self healing Colitis and Crohn's" after being diagnosed a few weeks ago with a severe case of Ulcerative Colitis.  I still haven't finished the book, only recieved it a few days ago, but what I have read makes a lot of sense to me.  Can anyone tell me where I can find a doctor, nutritionist, dietician, whatever I may need to start on a raw foods diet?  I am currently on Prednisolone and Mesalazine for the inflammation and so I would really like to have someone that is maybe in the medical industry but open and aware of alternative therapies and diets to help me manage the disease.  I'm not sure exactly who I need to see.  If anyone could make any recommendations it would be very much appreciated.  I live in Toowoomba, QLD, but will travel if I have to.

Cheers
