I started yoga classes last week. I LOVE them!! The instructor is 74 years old, and looks better and has more energy than most 30 year olds. She doesn't even have any wrinkles!!! What a role model! And she loves her life!! Her goal is to continue getting stronger and younger every day! And she does – she teaches 6 classes a week in addition to her own yoga practices.

I've been going three times a week and loving it. I'm walking so much taller now, and feel fabulous. I've had a small back thing happening over the last few years (right under my bra strap) that's been bothering my (women will understand that). Yoga however has literally healed it within a few sessions. I'm walking taller and sitting upright like never before.

Funny thing, the first couple of days my lower lip kept bunching up - the muscles were contracting. The instructor said it was my nerves rebalancing.  Neat eh?

Anyone else have any experience with raw food and yoga? I'd love to hear if you have!!

Cheers,
Sheryl

Hi Sheryl,
I'm a big fan of Yoga.  I have done it on and off for the past 10 years, but lately since going mostly raw I've found that my flexibility and strength have increased considerably adding further to my motivation to do it more!  I've been doing almost an hour each morning and really getting into it.  It is the Best.  Am now considering doing Yoga Teachers training as I think, combined with raw, it is definitely the way to go for me.
Your teacher sounds amazing.  What an inspiration!

Yoga yep, love it.  Have been practicing astanga and classical yoga and love it. Raw food and yoga definitely go hand in hand. Would also like to do the teacher training.
Peace

Bikram yoga seems to be taking off down here. I have been to a few classes but feel it is not realy yoga just a US version of it. It is done in a 40degree heated room (very sustainable for our planet..I think not) Good for the ego don't know about yoking the divine within though!
Peace

I know this is an old thread, but I've only just started yoga too.

I'm loving it.  I never would have guessed something so gentle and soothing could make me hurt the next day

It's all good.

I bought the Raw Yoga video and i'm loving it.  Gradually making it through further each time I play it

Hello, well I have just finished making a batch of Neverfail Cookies.............my kiddies love em. Yes I love em too...........as for Yoga it has changed the whole course of my being alive and the peace and serenity I recieve each day is pure bliss.
I have begun to teach my children yoga too. I am a young mum who home schools and we do yoga 3-4 mornings a week as part of our ciriculum. Home schooling is a full time job and I require time out so that comes in the form of YOGA and my Garden. ( although the little ones love gardening too)
I love our raw delights picked straight from the garden, and the squeels of delight from liitle ones eating fresh peas or tomatoes in the garden is priceless.
I am well on my way to a raw filled life and intend to pass this on to my off spring.
I hope all of you do too
Blessings Marita
