Going Organic: Your guide to a Healthier Life
by Kris Abbey

This book brings it down to showing the simple truth in the statement "You are what you eat".

Choosing to eat a higher percent of your diet raw is a great step. Making the distinction of organic over conventional will take you ever further in your quest for health.

Kris explains in a simple and easy way how and why you would want to switch to organic.  She explains health risks via chemical exposure and how to minimize impact, and includes recipes for homemade beauty products. Unlike many books she extends organic past food, and shows us how our exposure to common items such as cleaning products, hair dye and perfume could be limiting our energy and health. And she always shows you healthy alternatives! I love that!!

Lucky for the Australian's, this book has Australian companies suggested in each category that focus on organics, and suggests specific products that you many want to include in your life.

Most interesting fact: Air inside can be 5x more polluted than outside, due to household chemicals and cleaning products, pesticides, chemical gases from synthetic floor coverings and furniture, gas appliances, poor ventilation  etc. Scary! Reduce your use of chemical products and chemical foods and open a window for some fresh air. Your body will thank you!

Another interesting and very scary fact: Each year Australians pour 8 million TONS of detergent into oceans and waterways. We need to do something about this now!

Loving organic,
Sheryl
