Hello,
Been a week or so since I've been on here ready to post again...Thanks Love Spirit for the information that you've given me.  It's quite a lot to think about and consider.  Financially at the moment though things are a bit tight and I want to keep putting my pennies into my diet.  But when I've got some to spare I'll look into a good NLP practitioner.
After that last message about my frustration with my anxiety I've actually been quite good.  WOO HOO!  But then with only being back at college for a week and already assessment due (can you believe it....oh well that's reality baby!), the pressure of running a household and making two different meals for myself and then my family, had me eating two days of non-raw food.
But I'm back to it....green smoothies and all.  Bring 'em on, I love it  afro
And Raw Sensation, thanks for your continued support and words of encouragement, it helps  yahh

Love yas,

Lou

You are welcome! It's nice to see your face. I love to know what people look like. For whatever reason it helps me to remember that this post was written by this person.

I often still make three meals. My children don't like raw right now but they are allowed to have vegetarian if they have  a big GS first. It makes a difference.

Ok I'd better update my journal.  It's been incredibly busy here with my art work, just thinking about it all is exhausting as I sit here yawwww www nnning.  I find when I'm like this I just eat to eat because I find the energy I put into preparing food not available.  So the green smoothies have been saving me, in fact i often just think i'll drink them all day long.  One thing I've found wonderful about college too is that I seem to be surrounded by mostly health minded people....it's great.  I have only briefly discussed raw with them and find it interesting the reaction.

Anyhow this is only a quick one....but I'll be on here more often (I promise) and begin posting some food pics....they're always fun.

 yahh HAPPY EASTER ALL  yahh

Hi LIB,

What a beautiful thread....and I mean that in all sincerity.

I too suffer from panic attacks, anxiety, "true" asthma (LOL) which is affected by my stress, and I relate to your experiences.

It was someone on this forum....and I think it may have been Raw Sensation.....who said that "food rhymes with mood for a reason"....and that I TRULY believe.

I still suffer from my (for want of a better word) "afflictions", but it's a journey full of learning too.  I think it makes me more "humble" if that makes sense; to look at my life day by day and enjoy the moments that I feel good, and to not take for granted those beautiful times.

Yes, it is tough also, and you are most welcome to come here and blurt it all out......you will, no doubt, strike a chord with many-a-person here who can identify with you and share what works for them....and vice versa.

Take care

Luv

A sweet good morning to all  yahh

It's raining here and the house is still nice and dark.  I love these mornings but sometimes it's a bit difficult to get going in the morning....I must not waste today, no sireee.

Anyhow I've slipped up more than I care to mention.  Still on the green smoothies.  I just love the idea that you can put so much nutrition into one of those and that's very important to me to keep it up.  To me high raw is the only way to go.  One of the difficult things for me to deal with is sugar.  I've seen two seperate iridologists in the past and they both advised that I eat foods with only low levels of sugar...including low sugar fruits.  I feel personally sugar sends my head into the clouds, feeds anxiety etc. So I spose this means focusing more on the greens and nuts etc.  When you give up cooked foods it can seem difficult to give up all the sweet juicy fruits too.  Anyhow, I've paid for the incompatible foods I've eaten and not even enjoyed really, just something to fill the gob. So I need to put a new eating plan/menu in place which I'll think about today and write about tonight.

Mmmm just wanted to say that what I type here is only a small portion (but all important aspect) of who I am.  I'd really like to try and show the more "fun" side of me.  I love to laugh (who doesn't really) and have important goals in my life to achieve.  So i think i'd like to have some raw light-hearted fun......i'm thinking about what exactly but have a few ideas.....i'll keep you updated folks  afro

Hey LIB

If you want your green smoothies to taste more sweet and less bitter but without putting lots of fruit in, then agave nectar is brilliant for that. I can put 2 tsps of agave in 2 litres of smoothie and greatly reduce the bananas/sweet fruits I'm putting in (unless I want the carbs, of course) and it tastes YUM!. The dark unfiltered version is better as it has a higher mineral content.

Rita,
How could I leave you out of my last post?  Your post was thoughtful and sharing of your own experiences and I just wanted to say thank you.  I believe it's possible to overcome this pattern of thinking which applies limitations on living life to it's fullest.  I've been onto anxiety forums etc but found those places filled with people who seemed to have given up on hope of living life without this debilitating disorder and all that comes with it.  I simply refuse to believe this is the way my life is always meant to be.  Instead I'll just learn from it as I move into a new era of my life.  If anything it just magnifies how important my goals are to me and how much I need to achieve those in my life.
Have a beautiful weekend Rita,

Hello Love Spirit,
I like my green smoothies more tangy with a hint of sweetness.  I often add rasberries or lemon juice to get the tangy  but thanks for the agave tip as I could replace that with the apples I put in to get the sweetness.  Would agave affect me like fruit sugars though???  Is it more concentrated, or is it because there's less agave that would go in than fruit that it would be less affecting?Huh? Questions, questions!!!

I'm pretty sure it's slow release....Google it to check.............

....I also remembered Yacon syrup too which I haven't personaly tried yet but David Wolfe raves about it and touts it as a superfood. Here's his spin on it: http://www.sunfood.com/b2c/ecom/ecomEnduser/items/xt_itemDetailNF.aspx?siteId=1&itemNum=1259. Hopefully you can order agave or yacon from RP. :-)

Hi Lou, you sound like you are doing well. I was recently chatting to a friend who has been long term raw and she advises to always have fruit with greens if you are sensitive to it. The greens balances out the fruit and stops the sugar effecting you so much,... or is it affecting? You know what I mean anyhoo..

Rita... did I say that? Wow... awesome!

life not so crash hot at the moment.   i've had some high points but mostly feeling horrible.  i'm scheduling app with the psych again today.  i think perhaps i have more than just an anxiety disorder and that really sux....bit afraid of diagnosis really. i haven't stuck to a raw diet properly but i do think it helps when i'm on it.  for eg feeling like crap yesterday... hadn't eaten anything but forced myself (putting anything into my mouth was difficult...no appetite) to have a green smoothie.  by the time i finished that (slowly sipped on it for 1 or 2 hrs maybe) beginning to feel a bit better.  made myself another smoothie to keep me going.  half way through that one had a small bit of pasta and donut.  however feeling much better by this stage and for the rest of the day really.  had fajitas for dinner and woke up feeling crap again.  begun the green smoothie again today....and I just feel (my body tells me too) i must stick to this to get better.  I worked on my art yesterday....and so proud of myself for what i achieved.  I should stick a pic of my work up here when i get the scanner working.
