Hi everyone - I just want to share my experience with the common cold and wonder if anyone else has had a similiar thing happen to them?

Before even transitioning to raw, whenever I would have a cold (NOT virus, bacterial in origin) I would phlegm up beyond belief, cough, sore throat, sometimes fever, and at least a day in bed (resulting in OTC medication, self-medication, panadol, tissues, I'm sure you know the drill.) The headache, the sore muscles etc etc etc... poor me!

Well, my and my two daughters  have all just had a cold, and none of us down for the count. I had a scratch in my throat, a bit of a runny nose and NO down time needed! No panadol, no aches, nothing. I didn't even really lose appetite, just kept on eating greens & fruits.

Is this what happens when gone raw?
Has anyone else had anything like this happen to them?
This has never happened to me before.
it's amazing!  yahh

BEst cheers, Niqi

I think and someone correct me if I am wrong but most ppl dont get the common cold when they are raw just because we have so much vitamin C in their diets. Especially if you have been raw for a long period of time.

I have a cold (well sort of) and I fasted yesterday (only had water) and about 2 in the arvo I started to feel like you explained but then today it is nearly gone just still have a tickle in my throat.

That is fantastic how you are feeling with your cold I am sure you will find that the more raw you eat the quicker it will dissapear.

Thanks Pinky - I am finding it pretty out of my 'standard' experience, since I'm used to getting the 'normal' 5-6 colds per year.

Looking forward to going cold free!!

Cheers, Niqi

sure does its very exciting..cos you dont 'catch ' a cold...you only catch toxicity...from eating less than healthfully...not balancing your life, with proper amount of sleep, working out, raising sweat and heart rate.pos thinking....relaxing time....fresh air and sunshine where possible this time of year

yayy for your increasing well being.... ohyeah

Thanks RGG!

I think what strikes me the most is that even if what I had (it cleared up in 2 days. Usually took me 7+ days to get rid of a cold) was bacterial (PLUS toxic; bacteria that make us ill MUST be pretty toxic!LOLOL!), my body just seemed to cope better than ever before.

It feels as though all the GS's, the veggies, even sporadic high fruit moments (I recently read 80.10.10 diet and tried to combine some of the principles into my eating), built a solid health foundation within that the toxicity and bacteria couldn't grind down; I'm sure that before my body was so exhausted by dead foods, grains and lactose I had no reserves left to cope when toxic germs did attack.

It's pretty amazing!

It's also a pity that the medical industry can't promote this adequately enough to actually make a difference to general humanity's health. Oh no, I forgot; then the pharma companies couldn't make any money. evil
The farmers could, though.

*damn! changing the world again!!!*

 yahh yahh yahh

thanks!
