I think it seemed like setup and anyone who watched it, will know what i mean.

The raw food lady was made to look like an extremist who swaps with a heavy meat eating family(thats the setup part). The poor woman had to cook them meat dinners for the first week which went against all her ethical beliefs.

The other family were eating heavy meat consumption and the kids were eating tonne of sugar and were hyperactive and mentally challenged. By the way i used to be like that myself growing up on junk and tonne of meat before i went raw.

But in the end it was the meat family who got the vegan raw foodist to eat cooked food. Sad

I think it seemed like setup and anyone who watched it, will know what i mean.

Of course it's a set up, that’s the whole point of the show.

They always put two complete opposites together to spark off each other and provide "entertainment" for the viewers (i.e.):

A religious fanatic and an atheist

A beef farmer and a vegetarian

A mucky slob and an obsessive cleaner

etc...etc...etc...

I didn’t see this particular episode but I love Wife Swap.

I didn’t see this particular episode

Actually someone told me about it, apparently the lady and her family concerned ate "only raw food, including raw eggs and raw meat".

Is this the same episode that you watched?

I also saw this on the internet recently......."Barb and Mike Haigwood - a couple who raise organic food with their two teenage children on a farm near Massena, IA  - sparked Wife Swap viewers to contact the Iowa Department of Human Services complaining about the parents abusing their children by feeding them raw food and home-schooling them, after an episode featuring the family aired. But apparently Iowa state officials do not consider "an unorthodox diet and messy housekeeping" to be child abuse.

I am sure its one-and-the-same show?

No this one was a vegan raw food couple and thier daughter. House was spotless and they do yoga or something. But the mother was so sensitive she was unable to speak up for herself as much as she wanted too. I feel they were more making fun of her but anyhow each to their own.

I have no problems with wifeswap and if it gets so many viewers it turns alot of viewers off. I mentioned raw foods to someone and they said they didnt want to do it because of seeing a family eat raw meat on wife swap and they were put off by it and its the one your talking about. I tried to explain to them that its raw food diet is varied and many different lifestyles asssociated with it. So it does unfortunately even for entertainment purposes influence alot of people. Surely a bad rap aint good influence.

i've seen one about a year and a bit ago. i think there's been two. one with a vegan raw foodist and a raw meat eater. i saw the vegan one. she ended up eating cooked food again which is a shame i thought. they really try to present them in a negative way. the other wife tried to make the vegan daughter who was raised a vegan, choose a piece of meat for a bbq. i thought it was really thoughtless of her. anyway the only way to be normal on tv is abnormal i think, i wouldn't want to be average burger eating american joe.
