Hi Guys & Gals

THE REINVENTION 90 Day Fitness Quest,

where we spend 90 days motivating and supporting each other to acieving their own personal fitness related goals.

Let's walk the raw walk and talk the raw talk and be shining examples of health together.

you would simply need to set up a fitness journal, state your goals, take a before picture and monitor your progress for 90 days.

It doesn't matter what fitness level you are or how simple you think your goal would be!!!!

The aim here is to get into the habit of success and to achieve your goals.

It's not a competition thing because I think we should all support each other in this and I think that it would be great to see if everyone achieved their personal goals and to see the end result of everyones hard work!

Wheredoing this on other forums too and hopefully we can bring it all together so we can see the results of everyones hard work.

great idea. i will take you up f1.

i wont take a photo as on the outside i dont change that much appart from tan or a couple of cm's here and there.

but on the inside is where i expect changes.

i aim to build daily disciplines into my day.

by keeping them so simple and quick , that there is absolutely no excuse to not do them.

but to be efficient enough that they will give me physiological and pyschological benefits.

so for the next 90 days i will do as follows daily.

12 push ups.
60 seconds running.
10 seconds stretching each leg of hamstrings and quads.

thats it! 3 simple yet beneficial movements.

i will aim for maximum focus during each workout. focusing on breath, posture, foot placement, stretch, attitude etc.

any exercise is better than no exercise!!

consistency is key.

it doesnt matter what we did yesterday , as much as it does, what we did today!!

every disciplined effort is met with multiple reward.

Yeah I'm in for sure.

I'm gonna put on at least 3 kg's of lean mass, via proper eating and the proper application of my gym work outs.

Also I am gonna increase my flexibility by sticking like glue to my four day a week stretching regimen.

A photo is a great idea. I have been meaning to do a before and after ever since I started at the gym in Feb,
but alas I am quite computer illiterate so I don't think a photo will be forthcoming onto this forum.

Well, I'm off to the gym ladies and gents.

Fantastic

I'm going to keep enjoying my gym workouts and walk/jog/runs pushing each a little harder and add a 30 minute stairs/hills/soft sand run at least once a week! Only because i love the way i feel after an intense run!

Had to stop last year when i cracked my tibia snow skiing, got back to everything else quickly, just slack with the last one - usually do it Sunday arvo!

I am so going to break out of my current rut.  Winter crept in and work has been tough and it's just been way too easy to plonk down in the evenings and slip into the land of couch potato.  Missed running for more than a week.  Only one gym visit in two weeks.  Dropped the raw intake in the last week, and had a few sandwiches and some pasta and some chips and chocolate.  Had a nasty pimple come out which is my body's way of saying "hey buddy too much crap is going in and not enough is getting worked out".  Winter is just starting and 90 days of hard work and careful eating should let me hit spring in the best of shape.... just in time to start sunning the white of winter away.  I'm out here

Greetings Neet,

You mentioned having itchy skin and my ears (so to speak) pricked up.  Not in relation to the thread I know, but I have recently started to get an itchy area on my back (nothing to be seen though) that persists no matter what I apply.  Thinking back, I have narrowed it down to when I increased my intake of gs to having it both for brekky and lunch.  I put it down to a part of detox but am becoming concerned as it seems to be lingering and now my skin in general is quite dry.  Now as you know I love my gs and it is ab fab every other way so I am reluctant to stop or blame the itch totally on them.  However, I do partake in considerable amounts of exercise so wondered if it was similar to your itchy problem.  Everyone's different but I was interested to hear more from you on this topic as it seems you are managing to tackle the problem successfully.  Any advice would me greatly appreciated.  Sorry to boycott the thread  rolleyes

Take care,
Clarissa.

Hey Clarissa, mmm very interesting as my persistant itching was ongoing for about a month and then out come the shingles, just a patch on my hip, that drove me crazy...i've put it down to loads of cals burned with working out,and not enough cals eaten, running on empty for a good few months...so have increased my cals(hard to do) and the itching has subsided i am very pleased to say..

haven't changed my gs at all, have been drinking that for around 7 months now or bit longer, every day,and it wasn't until i upped my workouts and didn't increase my food that i started to itch and get quite cranky... rolleyes if we haven't got excess to burn on our body,we must be very careful to increase our cals,so as to find a balance if we intend to workout hard(as i love to do...)and sounds like you do..?
i was rapidly disappearing, size 6 was starting to look ridiculously baggy, and i didn't feel quite as chipper...
but with the help of H and sheryl and joss too,i am back on the right track..it's all a process of learning and trialing out things to find what works best for us as individuals...increasing my fruits has been a big plus...and introducing a tablespoon of seeds on my salad at night(well soaked),cos me and fats we don't have a very good relationship, don't do well with them really, but i always have my avo, that's heavenly to digest, and when i know what to do with it,thanks to sheryl,i will be experimenting hopefully with coconut.,...

hope this helps?it does get back to really listening to our bodies too...

When I went high high high fruit a couple of years ago I got a small patch of red itchy skin inside my waistband, and another on my neck. I'm pretty sure it was a fungal infection (from doctor and all I read). When I decreased my focus on fruit only for large parts of the day it went away. I didn't need to apply any medication or anything... it just went when I altered my diet.

I don't know the answer, or even if there is one answer. I'm sure in the infinite wisdom of the body there is never ONE cause, or one solution.

This type of skin reaction seems quite common though... I wonder what the different ways people deal with it are? I like that the focus seem to be fixing it from the inside out. Excellent!!

Cheers,
Sheryl

yes,we love our meandering threads don't we?*grin* i am happy to say that my intake of fruits has increased, but i also increased my greens, and a very small amount of fats too, which seems to be kicking in much more of a balance..all whilst the nasty ole itch has gone, and my demeanour is as sweet as the fruit i eat,again..lol...
i just devour the sunfood diet book, there are so many valuable bits of info in that book...i knew i was unbalanced and running on empty, but generally it takes a bit of a shock to wake me up,before i go,oh ok,better fix it then...

fungus...yucky stuff eh,just the word is gross..

i put kosmea, pure rosehip oil on the itchy patches, very soothing,no pills or nasty potions for me,no way,and cortisone cream forget it!!!!

supporting the amazing body to self heal whilst  balancing our raw foods,is def the way to go..yay... kiss

Salutations!

Thanks ever so much for your advice Neet & Sheryl  kiss.  Oh so helpful and like you both said, listen to your body and all will be revealed.  I think it is a combination of maybe not enough cals, an increase of fruit intake and decrease in fats.  Due to not having the salads with dressings for lunch (which by the way were nowhere near as enjoyable, satisfying or sustaining as the humble gs) we are no longer getting fats in this meal unless I include avo in the gs.  I think we might have to include the yummy avo more often (we have both been craving this much lately - our bodies desperately trying to tell us somethink me thinks  rolleyes).

I too, Neet, would like to include more coconut in our diet, especially the oil which is so highly praised for health, disease prevention etc.  I did try some in a gs but it didn't seem to meld well, maybe some more trial and effort is required here  cheesy.  I have just received the Sunfood diet book and was about to begin this today so on your recommendation I will start immediately  smiley

Your remark Sheryl on healing from the inside is oh so true and when you think of things this way, the path becomes oh so much clearer.  My dry skin and itchiness will no doubtedly be healed by increasing my fat intake plus balancing my foods all the better through the constant learning journey of raw  cheesy  cheesy  cheesy.

Ever so grateful for your time.
Take care & stay true,
Clarissa.

to my daily actions of 12 pushups, 60 sec running and 10 sec stretch of hams and quads.

i have added 5 deep breathes and exhales.

tonights hotel has 2 chairs which , with my feet on the bed and one hand on each chair , can get a hardcore range of motion pushup!

daily disciplines that are so easy for me to do, i have zero excuse not to do em!
