Hi everyone

I have a whole stack of almond meal in the freezer and I need some recepies to put it to loverly use. I have 1 cracker recepie that I have made stacks of times but I am looking for something different. Doesnt matter if its sweet or savory.
I have also been using it as a body scrub in the shower .

If anybody has any rawing food ideas with my frozen almond meal let me know.
Also how long should i keep it in the freezer? Would it go off?

Cheers

Alegne~ yr almond meal should keep in the freezer for 2-3 months as long as it is sealed up well. i grind my own flax and sesame meals, then store them in freezer zipper bags w/name & date labels.
as far as recipes... can't think of any in particular but it would make a great coating for truffles or even a fun topping on a mylkshake! you could even use it as a "breading" on marinated mushrooms or broccoli...
have a blast- hope this was helpful!

I think she's talking about almomd meal left over from making almond milk. I'm a chronic saver of nut pulp and hardly ever manage to use it!

I'll see if I can find some recipes!

Yes Sheryl is right its all the left over pulp from the almong milk.
Its sitting in my freezer waiting to be used. smiley

I thought about thawing it out and having a body scrub every 2nd or third night  smiley
The only other thing it has is raw honey added thast it so it has a sweet flavour.
Cheers

I made a very yummy pudding with Almond pulp today.
With
3 small bananas
2 dates
small handful of raisons
1 cm of cinnomon stick
1 vanilla pod
some filtered water
1 cup of almond pulp
All blending in the vita mix.

Very yummy, and very pudding like.

Aha!  A use for all the almond pulp that we seem to amass.  Well done Raw Aussie!

I've been pondering the same thing lately - am leaning towards creating some spicy chai cookies with it.  Over time, I think we can crack this, and come up with some lovely recipes to use up all our pulp.

Of course, to state the obvious.. sprinkle it on a fruit salad. Also, mock corn flakes.... fill a bowl, slice on bananas, pour in almond milk, and eat like a breakfast cereal. Also to state the obvious, finely chop dates (and whatever else) and mix together, form into rolls, wrap in wax paper and put in the freezer - a lollie?
