Thanks so much for this info Harley!!
I was planning a trip to Cambodia, Vietnam and Laos before I read your post, but have now booked a stopover for 2 nights in Bangkok just so I can visit Rasayana!! SO excited!
I'm leaving Sydney on Nov 25th and will spend a large portion of the 26th eating at Rasayana

. I booked to stay at The Atlanta Hotel which is nearby, at Sukhumvit Soi 2, do you know how long it would take to get to the cafe from there?
Do you know if the people who work at Rasayana are raw?
I also read your other posts on your Thai durian travels, which are awesome, so inspiring, it sounded like you had such a heavenly time (actually it sounds like you have a heavenly raw time most of the time!). After reading about your trip I am so looking forward to all the cheap, abundant tropical fruits n vegies (instead of $16 for 1 durian!), being in nature, meeting lovely local people, bikeriding, walking, swimming, exploring, running, warm weather...and being able to spend time relaxing and transitioning into raw (without worrying about having to go to work when feeling detoxy).
I was thinking of taking a handblender to make green smoothies (with a universal plug adaptor), do you think this is a good idea? Just not sure if I'll be able to consume enough greens otherwise. Also, do you know if the produce over there is organic? Or are they big on pesticides, etc?
And (hope i'm not bombarding you with too many q's!) did you have any problems eating greens from markets? The guidebooks say to avoid eating any raw veg (!) but I figure it'd be okay if you just wash it well....
There is also an organic fruit farm in Vang Viang in Laos that I'm planning to visit and stay at, not sure if you know of it? They produce mostly mulberries and travellers can stay in the cheap accommodation there and work on the farm, and eat all the yummy organic produce. Can't wait

They are also involved in community development projects. Their website is www.laofarm.org and has some great photos.
SE Asia seems to be a raw foodists' paradise...
(Sorry for the long post, I have been having some trouble logging in to the forum so have had to bottle my excitement for too long, haha.)
