I'm really interested in eventually working in the natural/alternative health field. Does anyone know of any institutions etc that offer courses to do? I emailed the natural health society of australia asking the same q. havent got a reply yet.

Hi 18CarrotGurl (can I call you Carrot's?  Wink )

I would contact the Hippocrates institute in Queensland (if you don't mind travelling a to QLD to do your course) or checking with the local Natutopathy schools (which often have links with Natural Hygiene - or at least know what's going on!).  There are also online courses such as the one run by Storm and Jinjee at the Ekaya ( http://www.therawvegannetwork.com ). We haven't done it ourselves, but are friends with Storm and Jinjee and can vouch that they walk their talk (and are very, very fit!).

Good luck and do let us know what you find. I'm sure it will be valuable for everyone!

We know them fairly well. After a lot of arranging over email/phone we visited them at their home couple of months ago. They’re a lovely couple with adorable children and hearts very much in the right place.

Storm tells a great story about how he loves to take kids from tough areas where being tough and strong is what it's all about; take them to McDonalds while he just munches on a watermelon, before taking them out on a long hike up a steep mountain. He said that if he lectures them on raw food beforehand they won't listen, but half way up that mountain as he's going strong and they're all falling apart they learn to respect that he knows what he's talking about - and so he tells them all about it... on the side of a mountain! Lol! I love that image! A classic example that the only way to teach is by example.

Thats a good idea of storm's. Yea they seem like a great couple. It would b nice 2 be surrounded by ppl that can relate to u and that are like-minded, esp in ur own family. I think visiting them would b very inspirational.
