Simply massage on cold pressed oil (almond, sesame and coconut are great) into your face with gentle upward strokes, then gently towel it off. Your face will be incredibly soft and not the slightest bit oily. Try it just once and you'll never go back to soap!

For a twist you can add some essential oils to your cold pressed oil base (rose is very soothing and great for your skin). Mix up only enough for a week or two to ensure you're only using the freshest possible mix on your face!

Cheers,
Sheryl

I must admit though, that I never really follow the upward strokes only part! I usually rub in all directions and really enjoy a little face massage!

When I've run out of cleanser my favourite easiest way to cleanse face is with honey.  Just apply generously to face and lips, gently massage in and wipe off with wet warm face washer whilst licking lips occasionly  cheesy yum!  Then jump in the shower for a rinse whilst washing the rest of your body - simple and therapeutic!

I'm not sure how effective honey would be in removing makeup though as I've only used it first thing in the morning on a clean face or all the other days/nights I have not needed to wear make up.

as someone with very delicate and sensitive skin i have used sooo many different facial cleansing and moisturizing products.  I have used many different "organic" "natural" "fresh" "pure" (and some very costly) products.  Nothing works as well for me as coconut oil.  I don't think I'll ever buy another product for my face (besides coconut oil and maybe sometimes honey or on rare occasion baking soda and lemons) ever.  It's so much more simple too.  Just one product as opposed to three or four or even five.  So much more simple.

I don't eat coconut oil or honey (or baking soda =P), but I use coconut oil for a million different things.  It is like I find a new use for it every day.  I love how rich it is, and the way it smells.  It also makes me feel really good that I am able to not only use something natural, but that I am able to use something natural that I enjoy more then commercial products.

yum!  i've started using coconut oil, but i have one possibly dumb question!  do you towel it off with a dry towel, or wet?   i've been using dry, but wondering slightly about it.. thanks!

Hey, I tried this this morning and the results are awesome.

Normally I would wash my face with a liquid cleansing soap, followed by moisterizer and then light foundation and make up...but after my natural hair cleanse yesterday...it was my bodies time to complain and demand better.

I washed my face in cold water and then scrubbed my face with something yummy...can you guess...
..
..
..Kiwi fruit...I cut one in half and just used the green flesh side as a washcloth and gently in smaill circles all over my face, then rinsed in cold water. My face was so smooth and tingly, I finished off with a light massage of olive oil as my moisterizer..no oily residue left.
I think the kiwifriut worked so well because it is acidic is like an astringent...a toner...was definately beautiful.

love BB
