On each post to the left you will see something like the following under the user name:

             Karma: 4
             [applaud] [gripe]

If you click 'applaud' it adds one to the users total karma. If you click 'gripe' it takes one away.

If you appreciate or enjoy a post - be kind enough to grant that person a karma point. It will make them feel great! If they are being mean and nasty - give them a gripe and take one away (and also consider reporting the post to a moderator as that behaviour is not tolerated here). Keep gripes for extreme cases please.

This is a quick and simple way to show each other how much we value the care we all take time to gather here and have some fun talking and learning about raw food and health.

What is Karma? There's the long philosophical answer, then the forum answer. This post is just a bump to move it to the top... so why don't you open the whole thread and read how you can reward people for the posts you love to read!

I was looking everywhere trying to find out what Karma meant and there it was right were it should be in the FAQ section. Thought I would reply as other newbies like me maybe don't know about it and might want to use it.
