I just read two incredible facts this morning I wanted to share:

"Compared with other types of fruit, tropical fruits are sprayed less and have lower pesticide concentrations. They're also some of the most nutritious fruits available to us."

"Kiwis contain more nutrients per calorie than any other fruit"

WOW!

Our guess is that tropical fruits are more wild and natural, and therefore need less spraying. Maybe also that most come from countries without the money and education (provided by pesticide firms) to buy alot of chemicals.

Now we can all feel even better when reaching for pineapples, durian and more!

Cheers,
Sheryl

PS Peaches and pumkpins came out highest in pesticides, even over greens.

Have you had the Yellow ones from New Zealand yet? They're yummy!!! We tried them for the first time in Toronto Canada if you can believe that! New Zealand Naturals was at the Vegetarian Festival giving out samples! A whole kiwi - that's got to be the best free sample I've ever had!!

Take care,
Sheryl

Yes I have eaten the yellow kiwi fruit.

They call them gold kiwi fruit here. They are bigger than the green ones, and have a milder taste. I prefer the yellow ones because they do not give me heart burn, I find the green ones to acidy to eat.
