ugh... 1st we have the e.coli in our spinach, then we have a recall on raw revolution bars due to metal bits, and NOW we're dealing with problems with raw dairy items!
wouldn't it be nice to have some good news on the american raw front?

if yr missing the spinach in yr gs, head over to yr local farmer's market or stand. ask about spinach even if they are not offering it at the market/stand because many people are freaking out unnecessarily and avoiding ALL spinach. chances are, there's a local farmer who's up to his eyebrows in perfectly good, e.coli-free spin but cannot sell it because of the paranoia of the public. of course, the best bet would be to grow yr own next year!

It's funny too because the spinach has been shown to come from three areas of California with problems with cattle farm contamination. Spinach everywhere else is supposed to be fine.

Jinjee had a great email today on this topic.

Cheers,

For those that don't get Jingees Daily Inspiration, she pointed out the around 200 people per day are affected by e-coli in animal foods and only 20 cases have been reported in plant foods, ever!

it seems that the public are not being told about the animal food contaminations, but the health authorities are focusing on the raw food supplies only. Me smells a conspiracy here.

It is amazing how many people don't realize that they are being conned. The food companies spend a lot of money dicrediting healthy diets.

Howeve,r more people are joining our ranks every day. Especially now the the penny has dropped about the link between degenerative illness and diet..

this lovely lil' gov't. of ours (US) has a history of buying and selling itself. it is currently funded by the beef and dairy industries- that's why we rarely see advertisements for produce. in the states, you often see cheese, egg, and meat ads.
the taliferos are trying to change this w/their "take a fruit break" campaign and have ads on radio disney and a few other stations from what i've read.
we do need to get thelife back into mainstream.
