If you're unsure about the quality of grains you're buying here's a simple test you can perform at home.

Just take a cup of grain, and put them in a bowl of water. Swish around. If more than a small amount float, you've got yourself a poor quality bunch of grain.

What you should look for when buying grain:
Uniform shape
No extra particles (stones, dust)
Few green kernels
Good colour
Minimal number of damaged or broken grains

Most of our grains are used for grasses for juicing, but we do occasionally make crackers!

Take care,
Sheryl
