Hey nutty,
Tell me more about this stall...
Where are you?  What, why and where is this stall???
Sounds great.

I remember trying some raweo cookies a few years back and they were magical.

haha yes you do sound nuts!

that's cool you're able to be more in control of your nut situation. i used to overdose plenty on 'em but i found when i moved outta home i ate less nuts. i still eat em now, but not nearly as much as i used to.

my favourite way to eat em now is to make almonds or macadamia into powder with the blender, chuck that on a sliced up banana, with some grated carrot or apple, pour a bit of agave on top, slice a date and yummo!! heaven, heaven!

as the quality of raw crackers, cakes, cheesecakes, cookies, pizzas, pates, nutmilks, thickshakes, lasagnes, chocolates, biscotti's...etc in australia is skyrocketing, ive opened up my 12 month nut parole to allow tastings of these when they arrive in my travels.

the last 2 months has seen me eat maybe a few large handfulls of nuts and its doing wonders for me. not that i think nuts n seeds are bad, heck i wouldnt be here without em, its just i felt the urge to ease way back from em for a bit.
really raw nuts and nut butters, tahini etc all seemed to play a part in all the long term super healthy raw vegans i met this year. most used em heavily intially and then moved towards a tablespoon max a day. some even just opted for avocado, durian, young coco, akee, jakfruit, breadfruit, or chumpadek.

so a jar of raw nut butter would last em at first a day and then later it would last em a few months.

always something to improve on in life. as it just gets better and better the more times we go around the sun.

yep its just a choice.

im proud to say ive got my nut habit in check! lol! and now save my nut consumption for all that beautiful gourmet raw productions that seem to be popping up all around the world at an alarmingly positive rate!

its been liberating knowing and living that all i need is fruits n veg. the rest of the raw plant foods, eaten on occasion, give us even extra nutritional variety which gives us nutritional sufficiency.

its all good!

Hey guys

In your opinions, what do you consider to be a nut habit? As I've just recently gone back to whole raw foods (rather than making raw recipes) I find that grabbing a handful of nuts helps me get through the day. If I have a handful of nuts in the morning, I'm not hungry until the early afternoon. If I'm not sure what I feel like for dinner, I'll grab a handful of nuts instead of making a salad. I'd probably eat a handful of nuts every day sometimes 2 at the max. Is this too much? I am still losing weight but I want to be healthy as well. I also eat seeds most days as well, again about a handful a day. We don't have a great choice by way of fruit where I live but I have been really enoying the summer fruits while they last. Pretty soon it'll be back to apples, oranges and bananas!

I appreciate your advice.

Cheers

Helen
