Hello Smiley

I'm new and thought my first post should be about my first green smoothie that I made today. I read this thread first and then blended 2 small bananas and a kiwi frui with water. Then I juiced 4 big spinach leaves and some ginger and added it all together - yum  ohyeah It was a gorgeous limey green colour too

Hi Kitteh,

You'll find lots of green smoothie fans here.  The great thing about green smoothies is that they are limited only by your imagination.

I'm hanging out for summer stone fruit, because my fave green smoothie is a blender full of baby spinach, a couple of frozen bananas and ripe juicy peaches.  Scrumptious!

Nice addition with the ginger, by the way - that would add a lovely kick!

Ok, not a green smoothie but I LOVE this.

Raw almond milk, raw agave and bananas. I make it when I need a sweet treat. Although I discovered custard apples today and am tempted to add one of those to a green smoothie. Mmmmm....

I wanted to try papaya, so I bought one over the weekend and yesterday I blended some it with some water, kale and frozen narna - it has such a distinct taste, it was really nice.

Snap Waterberry!  Well almost....

I'm not drinking a green cacao smoothie, but I did bring a cacao/coco/berry smoothie to work in my Sigg bottle today.  Half gone, and the other half is for this afternoon.

Berries + cacao are a match made in heaven.  Frozen berries work wonderfully.

Funny, I always wondered if a green smoothie with cacao would be tasty - I'm yet to try it, as I tend to make my fave berry one with young coconut.

I might do a green version of the coco berry one tomorrow.

Yumm, they are great arent they missgiggles!!

I make them when I'm having chocolate cravings.  Over winter I used strawberries and frozen berries.  But the fresh raspberries were just... ohmygosh good Smiley

Yes the green smoothies with cacao are tasty, but I find better with the bland or sweet greens.  Although I had a very peppery rocket & radish-greens strawberry cacao one once, that reminded me of that chili-chocolate bite.
