I heard about this raw-vegan diet a few months ago, and it felt so logical right away - ofcourse living foods are better for us!
I have been vegetarian for about 2 1/2 years, and vegan on and off, eating a lot of fresh (but most of it cooked) vegetables, and not a lot of ready-made.
But I have quite intense cravings for cooked food and spices and the textures you get with cooked food, and have been making excuses not to try it out until now.
It was my boyfriend who was most energetic about the whole thing, and finally he got me with him to try it out.
It is now my 4th. day on the raw diet, and my cravings are not as crazy as in the beginning, when I felt like screaming like a baby just to get some cooked food. In Norway we eat a lot of bread (not the white type), and I just love toasted bread with raw spreadings.. I know that you can make some bread-like things with a de-hydrator, which I don't have, so I guess I'll just have to try to get through it somehow.
Well, the cravings, they are still there, no doubt about that, but I will try to give it out the week to see if it changes.
My boyfriend dropped out on the diet yesterday after feeling that the food didn't get through his system, feeling unwell and dizzy. He usually has a very strong digestion, but on the raw food he didn't go to the toilet more than once for 4 days..

If anyone have knowledge about it, please share!
Another "problem" is that the raw food is so cold, and now the winter is comming.. Instead of leaving me feeling warm, the food makes me cold. I try to substitute with water boiled for 20 minutes with fresh ginger, and it helps, but it's not the same.
Just felt like sharing, I don't know anyone in personal who are raw-vegans, so it's good to have somewhere to share and gain knowledge and experiences :-)
With wishes of peace, love and light to every living being.
