hi all,

just thought i'd share that i've been having a nori run lately, and i've been making and eating them while standing up over my kitchen sink since i'd cut up the veggies and just stand there making my rolls and then eating them right away.  well, my 4y.o. asked me yesterday what 'that' is, and i said it's avocado, and since she likes nori anyway (although usually the cooked version is toasted with sesame oil and salt), she wanted the nori and i put avocado in it and some of the thai sauce i made and she loved it.  so same thing happened today for lunch, and i tried to convince her to try the cucumber with it, but she didn't want to try that so didn't push her.  what's ironic is that for dinner i had a salad with spinach, tomatoes, cucumbers, and garlic with kiwi dressing and apple cider vinegar and she enjoyed eating the cukes with the spinach.  funny, ay?  she may have eaten the cukes b/c she's had the kiwi dressing before (although she did comment that something tasted sour and i told her it's the vinegar).  i'm going to try to make the nori wrap again tomorrow and see if she'll take the avocado and cukes together.  it'll sure make the nori a little bigger.  my 8 y.o. commented that maria (4y.o.) eats so well b/c i ate the best/healthiest with her (she remembers this b/c i've said this before).  i did feed maria avo/bananas as her first foods instead of the typical rice cereal.  so she's got that avo taste still engraved in her brain perhaps.  plus i drank lots of carrot/veggie juices and a powdered barley drink.  she's definitely the one child in our family who is so willing to drink the green smoothies and fresh veggie juices that i make.  so all you pregnant ladies and future expectant moms/dads, make sure the baby gets loads of fresh, raw goodies!
