That's right! Meet up with other raw foodists (both aspiring and inspiring! Smiley, chat with others share some great food (just bring a plate of something to share - don't be modest!) :munch:

It's taking place at the Northey Street markets just after the organic markets close, so you have time to do your shopping or if you didn't have time to make up a plate to share!  Wink This is a great place to share tips, food, ideas and support.  Better still it's a chance to kick back, relax and let someone else make most of the food (and yes, note we *do* say *most*!)

Date: This Saturday 5'th Febuary
Time:  10:30am
Place:  Northey Street City Farm, Windsor. (just walk in from the open carpark - you can't miss us!)
Parking: Plenty of it. Available off Northey St, Windsor.
Bring:  A plate of something to share, from salad, to fruit, to nibbles to something more gourmet!
Contact: Piers / Sheryl at Raw-Pleasure, 1800 RAW 838 / 1800 729 838.

Northey St is very family friendly, too with sandpits, swings, games and
all kinds of fun to keep little ones entertained. Smiley

We'll see you there!

Here's the nasty, growly, "do the right thing" for those few people with other than wonderful intentions. :grr:

All of you other lovely people, well intentioned people - you can stop reading right here!

NOTE: This is NOT the place to come to promote any MLM, pyramid scheme, other business or profit making venture. Doing so will be in violation of our agreement with Northey Street City Farm and will be considered grounds for banning attendance at future events, and a request to leave immediately. If you wish to do so at any event, then please contact us prior to the event for permission.

Groovy! Looks like we have part sponsorship for tommorow's picnic from one of our favourite places...

Tropical fruit world!

They're very kindly part subsidising (along with us Smiley ) a whole big wack of unique, delicious tropical fruit for everyone to try tommorow! There's going to be Jackfruit, Dragon fruit,  Carambola, CHinese apple and a couple that even we don't know what they are! (lol! I'm sure they'll taste great though!).

See all of you Brisbanites Saturday at Northey St for the picnic! Just remember a plate of something to share and to bring your appetite!

Viva La Raw!

A Sydney raw food lunch will definitely happen soon. Our plan is monthly raw food events in all capital cities by the end of the year. We're just looking for people to run with being the group leader on the day when we're not there! Are you interested? We plan to handle advertising for new faces! And any extra preplanning stuff that needs to happen.  I'm thinking Centennial Park in Sydney (out near Bondi) would make a great destination. Or the botanical gardens near the Opera House. I'm sure we could justify the occasional visit to Sydney! And make sure it matched when the raw food lunch was happening!!

We just finished making Alissa's pecan pie, 4 pasta sauces (tomato, spicy tomato, walnut basil pesto and curried cashew (the best of all)). We're bringing the sauces and pumpkin, zucchini, and beet to make pasta. I'm imagine the beet with pesto, the pumpkin with curry and the zucchini with tomato - although we'll probably just put them out and let people experiment.

We also have a 25 pound jackfruit (ummm... a couple of pounds short after Piers and I opened it), star fruit, 3 cases of dragon fruit, mamey sapoty, the egg shaped sapoty, lychee, the lychee relative that tastes like lemon and honey, a tropical relative of the lilly pilly about 40x the size, sour sop, champagne fruit (relative of the papaya) and young coconut!

Now to see if we can fit it all in the car with the share cloth (a 3 metre x 3 metre shade cloth), a table, an umbrella and more!

I think we better sleep soon though! Only a couple of more posts I want to do... including a free CD offer!

Take care,
Sheryl

Yes...(nods)...could be done.  In terms of cooking up lashings of delish Raw food - well, I'm a total novice.  But if you need a bit of help with logistics - count me in.   Mind you, keep in mind I do have 2 toddlers to look after.

Botannical Gardens would be nice, or Centennial (both close to me).

Let me know if/when things start happening...

Great!

I should clarify, that we don't expect organisers to prepare food for everyone (although we may just be crazy enough to attempt it!), more just as a logistics role to make sure there's someone friendly who people know will be there, that they can ring if they're lost etc. etc.

:worship:  Oh, and of course it's important to have someone take all the glory and fame that comes with being nationwide recognised ambassodors for one of the fastest growing nutrition trends today...   Wink

Seriously though, we'll let you know, most likely when we've got a couple of Brisbane ones under our belt and kink free! (Although I have to say that today's innaugural raw picnic was a huge success! More tomorrow...)
