Though it would be a good idea to get some great ideas going for some exquisite *tail ideas for christmas..... much more fun and so much yummier than any alcoholic beverage..... well to me anyway!  smiley

Pina Colada

Pineapple peices
Orange juice
Coconut water
Coconut flesh...young or mature

Wizz all in a blender until smooth ...pour into a nice glass, add the umbrella, straw and strawberrie.... Aloha!

Tropical Delight

Pineapple peices
Mango
Orange juice
Coconut flesh

Same as above, but put a frangapani in your hair... kiss

Red Slushy

Watermelon
1/2 frozen and a little unfrozen

In the blender...... got to be the best slushy around...add a few frozen grapes or fresh dates if not sweet enough. Pop a few frozen grapes on the top... great one for the kids!

Must go, i think i need some new *tail glasses for these drinks.....

Look forward to seeing what else you guys come up with.  smiley

Raspberry Delight

Blend frozen raspberries, a little agave if needed, water and a banana.  Delish, beautiful ruby colour, gorgeous on the breakfast table too.

hey karen,

what's a frangapani?  is that something australian or just something tropical-like that sits pretty in your hair?

Frangapani in Australia is known as plumeria in Hawaii. It's the flower most Hawaiian flower leis are made from and smells divine. The trees have beautiful flowers, usually white with yellow in the center, but some with pink and even red flowers. The smell is quite intoxicating. They grow well in Australia. I've seen them as far south as Sydney.

Mmmm....

Oooh I LOVE frangipanis. I got so excited when we moved to Perth - they are EVERYWHERE here! It's great.

There are masses of frangipanis in Malayasia and they grow into big trees there too. I was amazed at the size of them. This description comes from Google

Plumeria (Frangipani) also known as the Lei flower, is native to warm tropical areas of the Pacific Islands, Caribbean, South America and Mexico. They can grow to be large shrubs or even small trees in mild areas of the U.S. In tropical regions, Plumeria may reach a height of 30' to 40' and half as wide. Their widely spaced thick succulent branches are round or pointed, and have long leather, fleshy leaves in clusters near the branch tips. Leaves tend to fall in early winter since they are deciduous and sensitive to cold.

Just straight grape juice is beautiful too and has a feeling of wine. You can juice them or do as I do and blend them peels and all then strain in a nut milk bag or strainer. It works perfectly and is WAYYY faster and easier to clean up.

Any more special drink ideas?

I FINALLY got my hands on some organic grapes yesterday... bliss! They are small, with seeds and have actual flavour (gasp). So glad I have managed to keep walking past the ENORMOUS, nuclear-waste coloured (ie BRIGHT green), enormous hormone pumped shop ones.
