Hi to everyone I haven't touched base with for a while.
Life has been busy and I've chosen to let my posting take the back seat to keep up.
Too many best days ever to post in hindsight, but some of the things which come to mind are:
- eating divinely ripe, organic mango, naked, alone under a cloud enshrouded moon
- eating the black raspberries from the tree Jim found in Canberra (absolutely incredible! I ate a mulberry afterwards and spat it out as it couldn't compare.)
- Spartan warrior workouts with Jim
- seeing my garden start to take shape...capsicum, paw paw, tomato, watermelon, rockmelon, an avocado sapling, nightshade berries, and (thanks to Paul and Ryan) I now having comfrey and japanese menthol growing!
- sleeping in a bivy bag on the beach in Byron Bay for 10 days with Harley spending the days with Doug, Rozie, Faychesca and Lennie at the Inspya Yoga Retreat filled with yoga instructors.
- snapping up amazing organic bargains at the Sydney markets with the raw crew. I've been doing this for many months, and it's awesome to see everyone now benefiting from it! Recent $15 trays of mango and dumpster diving for perfect bananas they though were overripe were a delicious feast!

Tomorrow I leave for Costa Rica to spend 3 months with Doug.
I'll have very limited internet use there by personal choice.
I'm interning at the January fast, Walking in Costa Rica through Feb (hiking, lectures, etc) and fasting in March.
I'm taking my video camera and will make a mini documentary of my fasting experience.
...taking my best days ever to a new level.
Our beliefs become our reality...I love my beliefs :-)

...and yes...I will be going to Thailand again with the crew.

lol it's not going to work out between us I can tell already.  oh well it was fun while it lasted, but time to let go now.  i'm holding out for an artistic fruit eating athelete from now on that sounds right.  next person i am into will be all those.

today I feasted on persimmons all day.  yum!

signed up for a martial arts class at school.  looking fowards to trying something totally and completely new.  it is basically more for research then body conditioning, but my body is definitely looking fowards to being conditioned in a different style then it is used to.  fun!  =)  i say research because it's very helpful to learn technique of movement in order to express it.  knowing where the body holds the weight helps so much for when drawing figures.  I was going to wait, but i changed my mind i think i'm ready.  can't wait.  =)

love the human form in motion, and how it's always moving.  so beautiful and fascinating.

can't wait to see the documentary in costa rica.  pura vida!  Wink

Persimmons! Haven't had good persimmons pass my lips for way too long!
My artistic side does need work...it will fully awaken when the time is ripe.

Late flights meant I had an extra 15 hrs layover in LA.
So I googled raw restaurants (after taking over the computer of the Marriot Hotelīs concierge Smiley, and found that "Julianoīs Raw" was a 45min bus trip away in Santa Monica. So off I headed. Juliano was actually there but looked busy. I got the menu (expecting not to be able to order much as Juliano is quite gourmet...I have his recipe book and most things have at least 30 ingredients!
I decided Iīd have the most success if I gave the waitress a list of what I donīt eat...
It said:
No: Nama shoyu, honey, salt, vinegar, oils, onion, garlic, chili.
The waitress didnīt know the food well enough so she gave the list to Juliano.
He said that list rules out every single item on the menu as basically everything contains nama shoyu or honey or both.
He asked her to give the list to the chef.
But a few minutes later, Juliano took control and went into the kitchen.
It was awesome to be able to go to a gourmet raw place and for them to make an effort to make something simple that would satisfy me.
I had some awesome salad, sushi rolls (which I donīt normally eat, but was ok with making an exception), and mango (with orange juice) smoothie.
In fact, I enjoyed them so much, I ordered it all again.
Started chatting with the people next to me and half an hour later I was doing a Power Yoga session at a nearby studio. It was perfect to follow the long flight over the Pacific and the 2 remaining flights to get to Costa.
I headed back for another smoothie and salad, then decided I had time to run back to the airport. I figured it was only a 45 min bus trip.
It took me 2 and a quarter hours as LA ainīt made for pedestrians. Itīs freeways and roadwork everywhere. Many sections donīt even had a bicycle lane. I had to sprint over 1 bridge giving a strong message to the universe for an absence of cars until I made the 100m to the other side. Fortunately I made it! Had a little spill on the unlit sidewalk of Sepulvida Rd, which had the worst sidewalk Iīve ever been on. Some of the concrete was pushed up on 30 degree angles!
Safely in Costa Rica now. Dr D was my room mate last night. Was great to get some of his answers to raw/health questions Iīve had floating in the back of my mind. Went for a run with Dr D along an abandoned train line today and had to muster bullocks out of our way to get through.

Havenīt seen any Mameyīs yet, but, oh my mother nature, Iīm lovin the papaya.
...and I havenīt even had a fully ripened prime one yet!

Pineapple last night in the salad set the front of my tongue off after about 10 pieces, but I stopped before it bled Smiley ...though it was tempting to keep eating as it was soooo tasty.
Tonightīs pineapple was perfecto! Delicious.

Most of the fasters and interns have arrived. Iīm realising how profound the experience of caring for people with serious illnesses will be. We have a super motivated collection of athletes and courageous folk fully engaged in growing and sharing in the pursuit of excellence.
Tomorrow morning I have a 7am run with Doug, Robbie and Cam. Itīs gonna start getting competitive soon...I can taste it Smiley

The 4 fasters that arrived early, have now officially all started. One is on day 5 already! The other 8 arrive tomorrow. Gonna be a busy day meeting and getting to know people.

Hey Suay. I was next to Dr D when he was reading your email Smiley Nice to hear from you. He asked who you were and of course I gave you a pretty good wrap as a shining example of an 80-10-10er.
Rasayana taught us all a lasting memory that I certainly wonīt be revisiting Smiley
Memories of Rasayana was the reason I wrote the list of things I donīt ever want in my food.
When I first found out about the 80-10-10 lifestyle coach program, I thought (especially for you) it would be the perfect base for a future career/lifestyle encompassing everything you love.

just came from a tae quan do class and omg it's so much FUN it makes me giddy thinking about it.  lol!  so glad i signed up.

i was thinking about it today, and i decided that staying active is so much more fun when I do a variety of different things, and most importantly when I am not only being active during such activity, but if i am learning an art form at the same time.  like i'm learning, exploring, creating, and working towards something beautiful all at once and it makes the world so magic.  activities become magic for me when learning style and creating technique.

drinking this fabulous juice i made right now.

livin it up heart

Had a "special" moment today...one that doesnt happen often...was driving to pick up my gorgeous man from work, my mind was drawn to our memories together, 10 years married this year...then it happened...

My heart started pounding and I felt an excited tingle go through me...I was excited and couldnt wait to see my husband...

must be all the RAW love inside from the raw goodness of life.

Aguacate I just read your post on creativity in relation to activities - I feel exactly the same way!  I love finding the magic in life.  Feeling 'flow' for me is soooo important with activities.  I have had the most amount of joy this year learning expressive body-roll contact juggling Smiley  It's something you NEED to get perfectly balanced and with a steady flow of movement, or well, it just doesn't work, because you drop the ball. :D  Beyond that, you can 'feel' the weight and fluid movements and when they are right you can even close your eyes.... then it's like you're painting patterns in the air around you!  Yay!

I experienced another moment of magic in the recent past.  Just haven't up 'til now had the will to try to describe it without coming off as insane, but since we're talking of magic in the world, hey! Smiley  Not sure how to put it either, the best I can do is: I managed to sense and share feelings within another persons soul.  I think they arrived to me for 'healing', even though I would never have thought of myself as a healer... There was a time of wordless sharing & I could feel the knot of pain within them, and know also how they were 'coping' with it through layers of grief, humbleness, silliness and other reactions.  And from myself,  I could impart to this person a sense of beauty in the world and also hope, not to remove their pain: but to view it in a light of poignancy and fragileness instead of something that would stay knotted and buried within them.  It seems somewhat new and obscure to me still, I was working off intuition.  This all happened without words, just sitting together for half an hour or so... it was perhaps what I would imagine feeling into someones aura would be like? Never experienced anything like this before, but it sure felt like a moment of beauty and possibility.  That night when I was alone I cried from it, I could still feel the echoes of the other persons pain... took a few days for it to dissipate and I was highly sensitive to & influenced by other peoples moods in that time too.  My acquaintance/friend who instinctively came to me for help has since jumped into life wholeheartedly and with joy, it's been beautiful to see.

I don't know if I'll ever get the chance to experience something like that again, and even now the memory is fading by disbelief into something with shadowy edges.  Perhaps it'll become like the time when I was 6, running really fast, and for a little while I *knew* that I flew,  but then... years later... you doubt that it ever happened in the first place.
