Hello ~ I am really in desperate need of support. Most folks out here think that my eating habits are really weird for being healthy, let alone raw. Anyone live out here like me? OR do you know of any raw foodists in this area? Please pass on the word. Heeeeeeelllllllpppppppppp!!!!!!!!?Huh??

Hey Melissa, hang in there....I am so many kilometres from you...but anytime you need support we are all very happy to help you, even though we are on the other side of the earth...(some will be closer to you though i am sure..

Raw is so worth doing, worth the (sometimes) ridicule and ignorant "well meaning" comments,(that usually aren't,the results you will get will sing out very loudly,,if you have every confidence in your RV lifestyle, people tend to back off...this forum totally rocks for support and other fabulous things to do with raw...

hey, Melissa! you may want to check on Rhio's website. she has a rather extensive list of raw-friendly eateries and support groups, etc.

Heya! David Z. Mason here. I'm building my own little organic farm (3 acres here in Highlands County - Sebring, FL). I'll be hosting weekend health retreats: doing sungazing, fasting, growing foods, yoga, and other topics. If I can be of any support to you here in FL, don't hesitate to drop me a line at DavidZaneMason@hotmail.com.....or check out my new website! www.rawfoodfarm.com

Hi David,

That looks fabulous!!

What kind of philosophy of planting are you using for the farm? We're in final stages of finding a property to settle on and are keen to learn as much as possible about how others are doing it. So much excitement in the air!!!

Look forward to chatting on this more.

Cheers,
Sheryl

Hey Sheryl. I'm a simple fruit kind of guy. So my little organic farm will focus on strong-producing and hardy fruit types for this region. I'll grow a lot of the more fast-growing stuff at first (Papaya, Banana, Fig, Mulberry, etc.). I have 3 acres, but I'm going to start with container grown plants.....and also focus on very intensely cared for mini-groves. It should be some interesting work! The key is to be productive enough to where i produce enough of my own food to not need to purchase food - of course.
