I awoke this morning craving equally coconut and watermelon. I couldn't choose between the two. So I juiced a 1/4 of a watermelon. Then I blended the flesh of a mature coconut in it's own water and about 1 1/2 cups of filtered water, strained it and blended the liquid with the watermelon juice. Yummmm! I've drank nearly all of it. and it's sooooo nice. I'm sure it's going to have some kind of a laxative effect too.

I'm not sure about the combining bit but I'm pretty sure that watermelon juice combines well with other liquid.

Enjoy this pink sensation!!!!

Apparently that is a 'hell of a combination' according to another forum member. And now I know why. I'm naming this drink the clean out drink! I've been on the loo all morning. Feeling weak too. Just taking it easy.

If you are brave enough to make the thunder drink... don't drink it all at once unless you have no plans for the next day! That's my advice to you anyhow. Do what you will with it...

an interesting combination Raw Sensation, i was thinking always that Watermelon like Rockmelon has to be consumed better alone, but i saw in a Juice Bar many combinations of Watermelon, some with Pineapple and Apple... you are confirming that...

i tried as well to combine watermelon with other sorts of fruits... first with one, two passion fruits and some fresh mint which is still my favourite drink, then with lime and then with one organic banana who was as well very yummy and quiet relaxing... today i'll try the pineapple and banana combination...

i heard once that banana is a good-night fruit and helps us to enter in the Dreamworld because it feeds and calms our nervous system with its high potassium content..., i always feel relaxed after eating or blending bananas...

if you take the banana in your hands before peeling and eating or blending and close your eyes you can enter in contact with the Cosmic Forces of the Universe they say, if you believe in this sort of things, it has something to do with the shape of the fruit that connects you with the Center of the Galaxy...

Looking forward to hear more about Watermelon combinations...
All the best,
Iv

Hello Darling Ivan,

I have been reading your fasting thread today. Still got a ways to go with it! You have a beautiful soul that shines through your posts. I always feel peaceful after reading something by you.

The watermelon thing is a bit of a question hey? I thought I read on the forum somewhere to never mix watermelon with anything but the juice is ok with just about everything. I ate some cooked on the weekend and so maybe my poor body just wanted a good cleanout. It's certainly getting that! LOL.

Have a wonderful day Ivan.

Thanks darling, your words are full of tenderness and gentleness and are reaching my heart deeply..., your soul is so light and angelic, so bright... a warm huge dear.

Today i tried the Pineapple-Watermelon combination without banana and found it very good, but on second list on my favorites... i drunk Wheatgrass as well, but thats another topic smiley...

i'm too not sure if Watermelon is a good combination Fruit for Juices, my body reacts good and i'm drinking lots of it, i would probably feel not attracted to eat it together with other combination like you wrote, but juiced with some particular ingredients, like Lime, Passion Fruit and some fresh Mint leafs it feels more alkalizing and ''activated'' as taken alone...

I reckon that Watermelon has a light laxative effect because too cleaning out good in the last few days... it may that the ''cooked weekend'' is a by-product of your cleaning experience...!?

All the best raw sensations, in this overcooked world!

Yes, I wondered about mixing watermelon juice with  other non-melon juices and the effect it would have on ones digestive system.

Malakai rocks! I love the idea of watermelon ginger. A friend made me carrot and ginger the other day and I've been craving it since... hence the 2 kg bag of carrots I bought the other day.

OMG. Isn't it the best book! Books. So awesome. The photos from that book were what put my hubby off meat. So grateful to the Don.

Enjoy Jen.

bumping this thread as I just blended up mature coconut, frozen pineapple and watermelon and we ate it like a dessert. It was a yoghurt kind of consistency and SO YUMMY!!! I've just thrown the leftovers into cups and put them in the freezer to see what it's like as an ice-cream. Though it's a bit fibrous as I did not take the brown skin off the coconut and did not strain it either...may try this next time if I want a really creamy texture.

does anyone know if you can freeze the flesh of young coconuts?  Likewise can you freeze the flesh of mature coconuts?

Hey Rita,

I froze some young coconut meat two nights ago, defrosted it this morning and used it in a smoothie. Ive also partially thawed it in the past and made sorbets with other frozen fruit. So I dont see why not, it was fine!
