huh Hi raw buddies!  I am new to the raw lifestyle, but find it difficult prepare delicious recipes with veggies such as swiss chard and kale.

Does anyone have a recipe for lacinato kale? The leaves are kind of tough to eat raw.  Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Hi Racee!

We're quite fond of using kale in place of basil in pesto (IE garlic, lemon juice, sea salt, pine nuts and kale) just with a bit less kale than you'd use if it was basil. It's also nice in a salad with spinach (often called English Spinach in Oz) with slices of orange (which helps offset the bitterness of the oxalic acid).

I just made SOUP from kale and Piers thought he was eating avocado soup!!!

I blended:
Kale
Garlic
Tahini
Coconut water + water if needed
Lemon juice
Avocado
Sea salt

It was BEAUTIFUL and so very very green! Give it a try. Just blend the kale and liquids first and add the rest to taste.
