I couldnt find any recipes with goji berries in them mentioned here, but maybe search isnt working right...Anyway, I was curious to see if I could make a goji smoothie since I find the straight dried berries very intense flavoured. Also I dont have a vitamix and thought dry berries might not blend very well (like I saw David Wolfe make a smoothie with dry ones and cacao nibs, but I think he had a vitamix)

I soaked a handful of berries in filtered water for about an hour which was enough, but once in the past I left them soaking overnight and they rehydrate to look all squishy and fresh. I had planned to make a smoothie that time but they were so plump and berry-looking I ate them straight!

- 1-2 Bananas
- Filtered water to cover
- However much cacao powder you like
- Soaked goji berries and soaking water (which goes deep red if left overnight, so packed with antioxidants!)
- Agave or some other sweetener as required

Blend and enjoy! I couldnt even taste the goji berries, it was just really chocolatey and banana-rey. Mmmm. I had stacks of energy afterwards and amused hubby who was on the computer, by playing hacky-sack in the loungeroom for an hour, giggling non-stop. My new fave treat!

I love them soaked too... they are just delicious. Make sure you drink the water!

I find even hard and dry they blend well in smoothies. Yummy!

I stir handfuls of gojis into thick green smoothies - and eat them with a spoon. Am expecting a delivery of 10 kilos of goji berries today which I've got at a bargain price. Looks as though they might have to stop selling them in the UK for a couple of yrs (Food Standards Agency being silly) so thought I'd better stock up!

hmmm I only use a small spoonful of gojis in my energy smoothie every day... which includes maca, mesquite, bee pollen, msm, dulse and cinnamon as well. i don't soak them just put them in and find they blend up just fine! Smiley
