In the back of my mind i sometimes wonder, if something were to happen to me, who would help me to maintain my rawfood choices so that people don't feed me anything but?

What would happen if i were to go to jail, like political prisoner Tre Arrow, and they refused to prepare rawfoods for me? (http://www3.telus.net/public/trearrow/who.html)

What if i were to be hospitalised, perhaps even in a coma, and they either didn't know about my diet or didn't understand it...?

Maybe rawfoodies can begin to develop a worldwide organisation of support groups along with medical bracelets or id cards that indicate what sort of dietary conditions they require with support group contacts.  'Traveller cards' could be issued to those visiting foriegn countries.

Most of my family and friends generally show only a little interest in my diet - in the event of an emergency it would be simple if they knew a support group contact.

fascinating topic Rachel!

its going in the back of my mind often and in every different cases you described...
i answered myself so:

What would happen if i were to go to jail, like political prisoner Tre Arrow, and they refused to prepare rawfoods for me?

i would fast on water till i get my raw food (Ghandhi could have small portion of fruits when he was in jail)

What if i were to be hospitalised, perhaps even in a coma, and they either didn't know about my diet or didn't understand it...?

I guess if you are in coma they don't feed you with solid food but with liquids... when you wake up or are conscious you can almost ask and tell them about your diet

Maybe rawfoodies can begin to develop a worldwide organisation of support groups along with medical bracelets or id cards that indicate what sort of dietary conditions they require with support group contacts.  'Traveller cards' could be issued to those visiting foriegn countries.

Very nice idea, a planetary raw-food network, a strange case anyway if you think that usually rawfoodies are the 'healer' who care for sick people, speak for our society

Most of my family and friends generally show only a little interest in my diet - in the event of an emergency it would be simple if they knew a support group contact.

Good Idea and easy to make if you have some raw-food friends living close to you, just the name, adress and phone number and lots of work and energies can be saved

as a keen rawfoodist you know as well to be 'protected' most of the time by a certain force and very privileged when it comes to doctors, dentist, incidents, diseases etc. etc.

anyway fascinating topic,
Iv

strap a chunk of durian to a rats  back and have it crawl in to my cell.

or slam an iv bag of cane juice into my arm in the emergency ward.

what we think about comes about. this moment is all we have. lets make it count.
