Hi Everyone!

Well after 5 days, I feel awesome!  I have just completed a 2 day juice fast and am on to my 3rd day of raw!

I was stuck on the roundabout of 'good' cheeses, chocolate (copious amounts) heavy pasta, gourmet stuff etc etc... ugh.  Well, my husband and I drew the proverbial line in the sand on Easter Monday and said "ok, something has definitely got to change." I was feeling decidedly sluggish, irritable, teary, etc etc etc.  The list goes on.  I realised I felt yuck, but didn't realise just how bad I felt until I experienced the high of the last 5 days.  I have SO much energy, I don't get tired in the middle of the day, I have SO much more patience and loving energy for my children and for everyone.  I just can't believe how a few days can make such a difference.  I can only imagine what a few weeks and months and years will do!

At this stage, my husband does not embrace raw food as much as I do.  But he was a little hesitant with the juicing too and now he likes it!  I've been juicing off and on for about 10 years and can really tell the difference when I don't.

Anyways, enough rambling.  I tend to babble when I'm excited and I sure am.  Bring on the RAW, I look forward to trying more recipes  afro - had to use this one, is very cool.

Cheers,
Michelle

Hi Michelle.

I love babblers so babble away! Welcome to the forum. You'll love it here. Well done on your raw juice fast! Look at how well you have done already! It makes such a difference doesn't it? Raw I mean...

Husbands sometimes need us to show them the way. Mine is enjoying a lot more raw now. He adores the raw tortellini from the free ebook as do I! It's awesome.

I look forward to hearing more from you.

I just tried the Change of Season Green Smoothie - YUM!  My 2 year old and 4 1/2 year old loved it too.  Delicious and a gorgeous green colour.  I'm loving the vibrancy of raw food - the colour, the energy!

I'm on to my 7th day of raw (including my initial 2 day juice fast) and am just loving it.  Some old injuries have resurfaced for a short while, then moved on.  This is just amazing!  I'm about 95% raw I guess, in that I've had about 3 rice cakes over the week with scrummy avo and juicy tomato - mmm.  But I haven't felt tempted with the chocolate and other things I've always craved.  Ah, bliss - to be able to smell, see and even touch chocolate but not feel like even tasting a tiny morsel, let alone eating a whole 250g block by myself!

RAW is so obviously what I need.  Hope everyone has a fantastic day!

Ah, the crash.  Was kind of looking out for it, so it didn't take me completely by surprise...

Have been eating pretty much 100% for 9 days now (the only non-raw were a total of about 5 rice cake crackers over the week).  Felt amazing initially - see previous messages, but then...  I hurt my back on Sunday, that came right with some ice, breathing and intention and raw food(!)  However, last night I seriously wrenched my back getting my daughter out of the car - so much so that it's been flat out with ice and even anti-inflammatories.  It hurts to move, it hurts to speak, it hurts to breath.  Thankfully the drugs have kicked in and I can move now. Gotta say, anti-inflammatories definitely take the edge off...

My problem is that I'm starving and pretty much nada to eat.  And the cravings for CRAP  evil have kicked in majorly....  Anyone know the best foods to treat back pain??  Greens? huh

Hey Bubbalicious, how is your back now?  Sounds like you had a nasty injury there and I do hope your positive thinking and raw have brought you back to health now?
