Hey everyone... thank you for all of your replies! I have a bottle of apple cider vinegar that I don't use. I'll start there with some lavender oil mixed in.

I was craving eggs. Really craving them. I actually started dreaming about them! So I went and saw a friend who has some wonderfully cared for chickens that she rescued and she gave me some eggs. I had two with salad and didn't really enjoy them. I could not taste them and have not wanted them since. Which is great. Why am I writing this here? Because my hair the next day was beyond greasy! It was oily. For three days I brushed and brushed my hair and the only thing that happened was that I got an oily brush to match my hair.

So last night I finally shampood it. It was such a relief. I mean, my hair was so oily that it looked wet and when I ran my hand through it, my hand got wet with oil. Not a good look.

However I'm kind of glad for the experience. It's great to be able to scratch my head without having white sebum under my nails when I finish. I wonder if that will build up as quickly now that I am having cool showers? Time will tell!

Bizarre!  I have had an egg craving lately too.  Obsessed with eggs.  Must have eggs.  It was weird.  I too, satiated the desire, and have not wanted them since.  My tummy didn't really like the effect.

I wonder what's in eggs that the body might be seeking?

Me too! I wonder who would know.... I didn't notice any effects except my hair. Last time I had eggs before that I was sooooooo sick. But this time I had them with a huge salad. The kids have been wanting them too. I've been making them egg dishes with salad and they are happy to eat their salad if they have egg! Awesome. Caitlyn is even having tomato!

The egg craving happened to me last year. I started a thread about it - which still must be about somewhere - and got some useful replies. I came to the conclusion that I was craving lecithen and ate lots of bee pollen (not an entirely vegan solution but it worked). Haven't had a craving since, although Zach announced last night that he was desperate for a boiled egg. Going to get my parents to feed him some on Sunday when he goes to visit. I still have the occasional panic that the high-fruit diet I feed him doesn't cover all bases.

Thanks GG - I might go hunting for that thread.

I cant' do bee pollen - I have a very bad reaction to it.

Hi r-r-b

Here's the link to that thread - I think!

http://www.raw-pleasure.com.au/index.php?option=com_smf&Itemid=71&topic=2489.msg26471#msg26471

Don't know how useful it will be.

Thanks GG!

I think mine is a 'comfort' thing.  Toasted egg sandwiches (as weird as that might sound) with the crusts cut off  laugh are intrinsically linked to my childhood, a particular shopping centre cafe where they were consumed, and all manner of associated feelings.

I think I was looking to connect with that, perhaps.  I'll ponder on this further....

LOL. Maybe my cravings were put in motion by the universe so Les would give some to his puddy!

Thank you GG. I'll check that out later.

It looks like I'll have to wash my hair again. The same oily substance is still pouring from my scalp.

Hey Jen have you ever looked into Neem products? I bought a box of Neem powder the other week for hairwashing and  it dried her hair out HEAPS which was not what she was after, but for you it might be good?
Here is one website: http://www.theneempeople.com/index.html Not where I got mine but this has lots of products and info.

shannon that's what i used to say, but since going fresh my hair has tamed itself out a lot.  also, i have this feeling like the hair and scalp get addicted to products so after going without them for a while the hair is easier to take care of without them.

I use an organic vegan shampoo about once a week or every two weeks.  my hair used to be a horrible mess.  i had to wash it every day and if i didn't i was a total grease ball.  now it's so different.

after time goes by on a fresh lifestyle, i was really surprised with how many i could nevers i went back on.
