Hi raw sensation, oxygen and happieraw,

Thanks for your replies,

My story? Well, ok then.... I started eating raw three months ago after searching the net for a natural way to get rid of adult acne (vain, I know, I know) well, anyway, getting rid of pimples turned out to be only the tip of the iceberg.

The clouds of uncertainty and indecision are lifting and I feel alive, well and incredible. YAY!

I have a wonderful, meat eating, cooked foods hubby who is never critical, only supportive even though he doesn't agree, and two great kids to whom I'm feeding more raw foods, but not as yet cutting out anything.

I'm sitting on around 80% raw at the moment (using the 80/20 rule) and in winter soups and cups of tea call my name, and I cannot resist - not that I make a big deal of resisting, as I'm still transitioning.

Anyway, I'll post some photos soon, I love yours, raw sensation! You Go Girl!

Love, light and happiness to all!

Oh we are the same! I get adult acne too on my neck in particular. It can be very embarrassing can't it! It is getting better. I go for periods without it now and then it comes back for a bit and then it goes again! I know it will go for good soon.

My hubby is the same as yours. Gorgeous, meat eating, supportive. He did tell me a few months ago that he didn't want me to buy steak or chicken for him anymore, just sausage and mince stuff. He did a weeks raw trial a couple of months ago and this week asked me to give him more of what I'm having. He has annonced that he will go around 50% now!  laugh

Where are you? I'm up the northern end of the Gold Coast.

Hi Jennie,

I can't imagine my husband doing that... he's watching though- he sees me having yummy fruit for breakky, scrummy salads for lunch, sees the kids and I downing smoothies (some more green than others) and he doesn't ask for any, so I don't offer. Maybe someday he'll come round. He has sinus and allergies and I'm sure it would help if he was more raw, but that's up to him (I mustn't push, I mustn't push!!)

My pimples have almost disappeared. YAY! I think what's helped also is doing dry skin brushing. I do it (gently) with my face as well, and it's made a big difference- I now bypass cleansers and toners, and use essential oils for moisturiser if i need it.

I'm in Northern NSW- We're so close! Are there any get- togethers in the area? I think I read somewhere of a picnic at Byron??

Take care of you!

Hey Rawfairlady! Cool name :-)

Welcome to the community!! Yes it is hard starting raw in winter, I started at the end of last year so it wasn't too bad because I had awesome scrummy mangoes to feast on (actually that's all I ate for 2weeks at one stage!)...oh dear god mangoes where are you???!!sweeeet sweeeet mangoes...oops sorry got side-tracked for a moment..

How great is it getting rid of the pimples? I have suffered quite bad acne for most of my youth and up until I started raw. Initially on raw it didn't go as I guess my body was prioritising and cleaning up more serious internal probs but after a few months it all went.  Now I only get pimples if I combine my food badly for a long period.  It is really amazing the health improvements on raw.

Have an enjoyable time on the forum, hope to meet you one day as I will be moving to Byron at some future stage...

*exited* I don't know about Byron but I'm trying hard to organise a Gold Coast picnic. I think it will be in Palm Beach/Tallebudgeera where the playroom used to be. I'll let you know. If you would like to be notified by email then just pm me your address.

*double exited* (((((((((((((hugs))))))))))) Free! That's so thrilling. When are you moving? Oh wow I feel so lucky!

Hi Rawfairylady (I love the name its fantastic)

Welcome to the raw community. I have on of those men in my life and I dont think he will ever eat raw food and I mean ever. He is very supportive but its just not for him. And he says I cant force it on the kids (I have 2, 2 years and 7 months) they have to make up their own mind, which I do agree with but I make sure they have fruit before biscuit (or at least the 2 year old).

You have all support that you need with these wonderful ppl here. And any question just ask its so nice to know that you are not the only one going through this stuff.

Love to you Rawfairylady and your family and once again welcome you will love your stay here.

Thanks everyone!

It's so nice to hear that other people are able to stick to this great way of living even though they also have to dish up dinner to meat eaters and other non-raw family members, just like I do.

We're living OUR lives aren't we- we don't have to make choices that have a negative effect on our health just so other people feel more comfortable with our way of living!?

YAY go us!!

Raw Sensation: Thanks, sorry I've been too busy to post back about GC picnic- I'd love to get there! will you post info on the forum?

Freelearaw: Hi, make the move to Byron ASAP it is lovely!! Thanks for your post!

Wishes of love, light laughter to you all

Hey Fairy girl! Does soccer last all day or are afternoons free? I'm thinking of having a pot luck soon.  At my house. That will be an afternoon evening event. I'll keep  you posted if you like.
