July 2008 I will be visiting my cousin in Springfield, Virginia, near Fairfax and Wahington DC.
I would like to know if there are raw foodist in that area and any restaurant or organic places.

It would be nice to meet people over the forum and I can also tell my cousin of any activities. She is not raw foodist yet but she is very much interested in learning about it.
It will be very nice to me you too, that I will meet raw people there.

Wow Pati you have family everywhere! Have a great time in the US, I hope you manage to meet some other raw foodists while you're there!

Hi Patty,

Here are some suggestions:

1)  www.meetup.com usually has a selection of local raw potluck groups..

2)  Natural Zing hosts raw vegan potlucks and events.  I've been there and the couple is very friendly and make great chocolate.  They live in the country and have a big yard.  I camped out there one time after a potluck event.  I believe they have a mailing list of some sorts if you want to start seeing what events are occurring.

They are probably about an hour away from Fairfax, VA.

Wishing you a great visit to the East Coast (U.S.)!

Raw Food Real World

In this lushly photographed 375 page book, Matthew Kenney and Sarma Melngailis share some of that magic - and show that preparing and eating raw does not mean bland, unsatisfying, or impossibly time-consuming meals.
