Hello!
I am new and starting fresh - i experimented with raw a little before, now it is time to be really and totally raw. I am ready to make the changes and get healthy - it is my second day of 99.9% raw.
I red some posts and books - now i need to face the challenges.
The hardest so far is the social network - the temptations coming from not raw activities and
cravings for cooked comfort food.
I have a juicer and the blender, i have two books one by David Wolfe second by Victoria Boutenko, i have been a vegeterian for over a year.

I am 70 lb overweight with underactive thyroid
I would like to have my sucess story to share in near future. The goal is to loose weight and feel healthy and energetic again, change the lifestyle, gain new friends and enjoy my new life.

I would love some support and encouragement.

Hi Freewater,

I'm new too- about three months on raw (transitioning at around 80%raw). I've found lots of support and heaps of great inspiring info and posts on this forum- I find myself gravitating towards the computer to read and post all the time, my family are wondering what's going on!!

Anyway, enjoy, it's great here!!

What a positive attitude! Planning your success story right now. I guess we all are really - how we live today will directly impact how we live in the future.

Looking forward to reading more...

Thank you for the support - it is so much easier to belive in myself when i have others around !  I have tried to be raw before - surounded by not raw people i felt lonely and easily distracted. I am  strong now to change what needs to be change to keep up with the raw lifestyle.

The hardest so far is detoxification and mood swings because of that . My skin is clear but more oily, my tongue white - so i guess i am getting somwhere.
I lost first 5 pounds.
Somehow i feel cold most of the time - i know it will pass, but in the meantime herbal tea helps.
Thank you once more for the support - i appreciate it very much!

This week i am fasting on water and herbal tea. Next I start green smoothies - what would you advice for the first 100% raw week?

I'm impressed that you are doing a fast straight up! Have you fasted before and are you able to have adequate rest? I've never fasted for that long and when I did fast I didn't come out of it the right way and entered a binge eating cycle that lasted for a week! Grrrr. Freelea here is a great faster. And she loves helping others too by giving great links. If nothing comes up here you could ask her for sure. She has a journal called 'fitness comp challenge'. A very inspiring girlie!

Good luck.
