Yes, our emotional health is of vital importance. I've never been a sickly person but if I really got stressed out to the max I would end up getting the flu. That happened usually a little while before I quit a job, it was my wake up call. I loved the work I was in but I used to let people trample all over me so had to move on to new surrounds from time to time. I was an administrator and it was only ever the girls I worked in the office with who were a problem, the staff we were working for were always really grateful to me because I was so friendly and worked hard for them. And the students (I worked in schools and a university) used to love me to bits because I loved them.
Sometimes I'm really sad that I had to move on because of the attitudes of the other office staff (only the lazy ones who were jealous that I was appreciated), but I suppose that was my lesson waiting to be learned - that I had to stick up for myself.
I'm pleased for you that you have had your lesson shown to you - and you learned much faster than I did it would seem LOL
Wishing you every happiness in your new career, and in choosing what *you* want to do

Love
