Thank you everyone for your well wishes.  smiley

Welcome to the forum Jane and my journal. Happy to answer all your questions.

I am truly exhausted. I need a hot bath and then a massage. If only laugh Just the thought of making something/anything is well not fun. So since coming home I kept-ed it simple simple. After my hot shower I have had a coconut, then later on I had 2 cobs of corn, an avocado and 2 tomatoes with herb salt. All on there own. Standing right now is like doing a 100 squats. I so quickly back to my chaise-chair.

Just the warm up alone was exhausting. It went for a whole hour. It was the only time sweat poured off me all day.
The four stars where Anthony, Marko, Kate and Demi. There covering many diff styles from Hip Hop, Contemporary, Jazz and many more tomorrow I will find out. Its at the tallebudgera recreation centre from 9:30 tomorrow. Day 1 was today but anyone can still come tomorrow. Kids too.

The first class was with Demi and she was doing Hip Hop. I was happy as its a fav. I really struggled with it but funny enough when it came to Marko with his contemporary I excelled more and its something I have not danced too before. Kate's Jazz was extremely feminine. She had us doing twirls and everything. I felt like a goose or more like a footy player trying to be a ballerina. I was privately laughing as she got us doing some moves. I was like how on earth do I,  someone that feels like I have been given a footy player's body do that. With my core and hips I felt pretty comfortable moving the way she wanted but I was laughing with one of the only five fellas including me with some of the things she was getting us to do.

It really pushed my comfort zone and hence at times I wasn't thinking too positive so I had to coach myself out of it and remember a few things I learnt from Tony Robbins like ' half of success is just showing up ' and 'the quality of my life is in direct proportion to the amount of uncertainty I can comfortably live with'  and 'Repition is power'. What made it more challenging for me was I haven't done much choreography before. I have always been a freestyle dancer and created more of my own different moves which is great when I was going to dance clubs and at TR seminars but this is very different.

We were told those that are doing the two days that tomorrow will be harder. Yay! Sad I feel it has exposed how week my level of fitness is which I am working on. Pray for the Sachman tomorrow because I will need it.smiley

My tooth is alot better. Thankyou Berry. Although getting food like corn stuck in there sucks. I have some people I will thank personally that have made a big difference with the pain of my wisdom tooth.smiley

Berry you can call me anytime-_-

Thanks Eve  smiley

Yesterday a part of me felt like not going as I was in so much pain and at times I felt like leaving during the day after lunch. I am glad I stuck it out in the end. I found it was tough mentally as it was physically. The second day started with the same warm up that at times I felt like giving Anthony the instructor a mouthful as he teased us while he had us in these positions that made our legs wobble in pain. But I like that humour all the same. I like a playful tease. laugh

The highlight of the day was learning a new routine from Demi. She taught us a House music routine something I could excel at and I felt I did from my days in clubs . The music is more masculine and is more hard hitting in regards to hitting the beats with diff moves.

I felt when I ran out of fuel/energy I ran out mental focus which made it hard to learn at times. Right now even more than yesterday my body is like lead. I cant move anything and not have it hurt. Just walking hurts and especially sitting down and getting back up is almost impossible. Not sure how I can increase my greens as most days I have two bunches a day with my green smoothie and a salad. I think I should make sure I go for walks everyday to walk it off.

Oh and another highlight was watching the kids perform all of there routines they learnt over the two days to there family and friends that where invited in the afternoon. Those kids were amazing as were the dance instructors. The families would of been so proud.

Thanks for your support! smiley

it's great that you had such a great time Sach. Good on you for sticking it out to the end because I get the feeling you would have been very disappointed if you had not. Can't wait for you to show us some moves!

Today I went bananna shopping and I got a juice on the way nothing really exciting but I was flicking through radio stations and some guy opened a fortune cookie and it made me laugh so loud even hours later when I thought of it. Even now too.

What made me laugh was it said inside 'made in China' rofl rofl rofl

Hey Sacha,

Thanks so much for sharing your experience with the workshop it sounds fantastic, your passion reminds me of what I gave up when I stopped dancing (formally that is, nothing can stop the music within)!!  I also just wanted to let you know that you have been such an inspiration to me!  I've just gone back and read some of your journal and you are amazing!!!!!

I also wanted to let you know that JD and Camilla from SYTYCD are doing a workshop in Brissy on the 13-14th of September, when I heard I figured this could be right up your alley.  Anyway, I'm contemplating going and I wanted to thank you because it is because of your passion that I'm opening my heart up to the world of dance again!  Of all the wonderful things that I expected raw would bring into my life, dance was not one of them, but perhaps it is the most important one of all.

So thanks!  Let me know if you want more details and perhaps I'll see you there!

Jane the idea of me being inspirational makes me feel shy and I also laughed out loud because I dont see how I can be but thank you! That's very sweet of you to say so. I am glad your opening your heart to dance again. That's awesome. The body is a special gift. Using are body to capture emotion can only make your heart sing as a result. Plus its so much fun. ohyeah
If you could Pm me about the dance work shop details that would be awsome. I will keep it mind.

Pinky I am flinging some love right back at ya. Thank you! When women are in a strange mood it makes me laugh but with appreciation of them.

Free yeah I went to the markets, sham we missed each other. Wow 20kg for $20 is awsome. I think you need to introduce me to that market seller before you leave GC.

Here is something to share that will put a smile on your face. This afternoon I was dancing to two songs that are kinda embarrassing. One is 'Get Down On it' by Peter Andre and one is even more embarrassing since I am raw. Its the 'Fast Food Song'. You know it. Mc Donnnalds, Mc Donnnalds,  Kentucky Fried Chicken and a Pizza Hut (you know the rest) I tried to sing in text. I have those songs in my music library because there fun to dance too and with the second one well I dance to it with a bit of sarcasm and I make fun of it which makes me laugh inside when I do. Plus its a dance version.

Its one thing to nourish our body by being raw but for what for. A reason for me is to have fun with my body though dance even to be silly in dance is a great thing I think. I am silly all the time in my dancing. It also brings out my creative side. I love embodying different characters when I dance. Its always fun.

I leaving it there as Will Smith's - Gettin' Jiggy Wit It just came on and I am going to go and jiggi in the kitchen as I put my market goodies away. smiley
