Hi everyone,

I'm from Montreal, Canada. YES! French Canadian. I'm traveling around the world and I'm now in Australia since 5 months . Prior to my arrival in suburb Melbourne I have been raw-vegan for 6 months and since I'm here I have a difficult time to keep it up a 100%. I'm a nanny for a family that eat lots of junk food and I feel quite alone in my raw journey... No one aorund me is very interested in tasting my food... I'm doing my best and I look forward for the Summer!!! ( I feel it will be easier!) and I just decided to move in a lovely appartment next to the familly's house. That will help too!

Hi I'm Chris.  I am the only one of the four of us here trying to maintain the raw food way (my partner and two children are yet to be convinced!).  We are situated in the very beautiful Huon Valley in southern Tasmania, overlooking the Huon River.  Alas almost no known raw foodies around here.  Fortunately good support is at hand on this forum.

I'm in Nowra, NSW and I'm the only rawbie in our household though I'm trying to get my 6 children as close to raw as I can.

Not much of a raw scene around here but there has to some out there lurking somewhere.

raw to the core

I'm in Arcadia on the north-western outskirts of Sydney (across the gorge from Hornsby). I live on a quarter-acre block surrounded by paddocks with my wonderfully supportive (but still omnivorous) man and 2 beautiful boys (5 years and 17 months). Although I try to feed my family a pretty healthily Me and my youngest son are the only 100% rawbies. I'm actually quite amazed that my hubby is so supportive of raising our youngest raw. But it's all good. at the moment I am attempting to create our own little funky food forest. I have become addicted to buying fruit trees. My most recent acquisition was a pomegranate.
I'm quite fortunate that the little homeschooling group we belong to (Steiner-inspired natural learners) are pretty much all raw or on the raw journey. So every time we get together it's like a mini raw potluck  ohyeah

My mum lives on the Gold Coast and my dad in Port Macquarie (and I grew up just outside of Grafton) so I quite often make the trek from here north..it would be great to catch up with other rawbies on the way next time I make my way up there.

Good thread Smiley

I live in Sydney, on the Nthn Beaches and I love it here. I live with my 2 kittehs and my bf (omni) pretty much lives with me too.

I haven't met any other Rawbies, tho I saw another thread in which there was a link to the Raw Group for NSW, so that is something to look fwd to.

Erthmum: Your property sounds lovely. How far is Arcadia from Sydney? We have been thinking about moving in together and would be looking for a house, so with Syd prices I am thinking we will need to be looking Nth/West and I would love the room to have a big veggie garden too.

Hi Kitteh,

Arcadia is about a 50 minute drive from the CBD (on a good day - not school time)..if you know Hornsby we are about 20 minutes from there..near Dural. My hubby works in North Sydney so he usually gets the train from Hornsby.
ooh baby just woke..be back soon.

Thank for that, Erthmum Smiley

My bf currently lives West, Cherrybrook and works around there too. I live on the beaches but work near the airport! So it's going to mean lots of driving no matter where we choose, I just don't want to be in an apartment anymore, I need a garden.

I just did a whereis.com.au search for Arcadia. Taking the train is a great option.

Hi all!

I live in Brisbane (bayside) with my husband.  We've been vegan and 'high raw' for almost 18 years.  Since finding this forum I have been gradually increasing the percentage of raw in our diet.  This is a wonderful place to get information and inspiration.   (I've been lurking for quite a while!)
