These tips are great - thanks!  My kids never had ear infections when we lived in the USA, but since being in Oz for almost 2 years, they have had a few.  And they've had many more colds here too.  Perhaps because we were living the the desert there?  They eat much more raw in the warmer weather, but I wish they would eat more year round, I'm sure that would help too.  We've used ear candles with good results, but I'm going to note the other suggestions here.

The kids have done tons of swimming since being here, but not over the winter when they've been having the ear aches.  Humidity?  I don't know.  I'm thinking that it could be the food.  We ate a lot more organic when we were there (it's much cheaper and easily available).  I've heard good things about Colloidal Silver for all kinds of complaints.  I will have to look into it more.
