come accross the idea in the rawmodel guy blog.

got some advice on this forum and than on the F! forum come accross the link to youtube salt water video
(thy were just pulling faces drinking salt water) but there was a name of teh website.

www.TheMasterCleanse.com

read all there was and decided to go for it.

I have done similar stuff drinking honey-lemon water all day so not too much different.

Recalculating the strange american measurement units to teh human language, I worked out, trhat they are suggesting 6-12 drinks of lemonade for day, each drinks about 300+ml of water, juice hal lemon, 2 big spoons of organic maple syrup and cayenne pepper.

went to organic shop and got the maple syrup and the cayenne pepper

had a trialing drink this morning - nothing special, but used much less maple syrup, than suggested _ I wont be using that much and teh cayenne peper burned my throuth.

The salt water flush suggested teher seems to be the wimps option - only 1 litre, I always used to do with about 4-6 litres previously, so I will possibly trial the midlle ground 2-3 litres initialy.

Also their wimp version does not use any yoga exercises from Shakprakshalana, it is just the drink and waiting for the elimination.

Just before I come accross the idea, I fuly stocked up teh fridge with vegs and fruits, since it is finally available, the season is comming, so I will eat it in few days and than go on the master cleanse.

anybody with personal experience, please feel free to share them here, give hints and pointers.

You do need to point me into the loo, I can find it very well.

will report the daily progress.

Have to go and buy the herbal laxative tea (never had that before, seems like a wimp idea anyway),
any suggestion which 1 taste the best ?

Rudy - you mention the "wimp" option 3 times, and then go and ask for a herbal laxative tea that tastes nicelaugh

Sorry, I couldn't help but laugh.

I can't offer any advice on the cleanse - I have only done it once for 5 days (not the recommended 10), due to work commitments.  Personally, I love the lemonade, and consume cayenne regularly, so I am fortunate that I don't have issues with burning.  Did you shake it up well?

From memory, my ratios were different to those that you calculated, but that could be my, ahem, less than optimal mathematical ability.  I'm pretty sure I was using the juice of half a lemon, 2 tablespoons of maple syrup/honey/agave to 500ml of water.  The cayenne I think was supposed to be an eighth of a teaspoon or something.  I just guessed the cayenne - who can work out an eighth of a teaspoon?

Regarding the herbal laxatives - I have only ever used Senna pods.  They are cheap as chips, and I have found them very effective.  Do you want nice tasting, or do you want effective? Wink

Senna tea doesn't taste as good as a cacao smoothie, but it doesn't taste as bad as I imagine jet fuel.  If you are not a cacao lover, then it probably tastes about the same as a cacao smoothie!  smiley

Incorporating asanas to aid elimination sounds like a brilliant idea - something that I didn't think to include, although the senna works well enough by itself.  But I am liking the idea very much of incorporating asanas when I do the cleanse over Christmas.

What postures are usually used?

Pavana Muktasana (isn't that more elegant than "wind removing pose") would be a candidate, I would think, as it works both the ascending and descending colon?  Besides, it just feels so good.
I would be very interested in other asanas that might be beneficial.

thanks Giggles,

2 big spoons of maple seems tooo much to me regardless if its in 300 or 500 ml, I only used 1 small-tea spoon,

will see how it goes when I stop eating and will need more energy - perhaps ?

Youga exercises _ I am not sure to call them assanas - they are 4 of them

and I never seen them in any other books or yoga system, they in my view are only used for Sahankprakshala =
salt water flush with exercsises.

the idea is to drink 1 cup of salt water, do 4 exercises and repeat, after about 6 cup the toilet runs happens, so the sequence than is:
1 cup, 4 exercises, toilet and repeat till only clean water goes out

as I said I used to use upto 6 litres and spend 3-4 hours sometimes, this is done not every day of course.

exercise - will briefly describe them :

1 - standing up stretched up hands up touching the palms and bend sideways -left-right, 4 times each side

2 - standing up, twisting to the sides, arms spread, twist as much to side to see right behind you, each side 4 times
as You twist to right, right arm extended - leads the twist, left comes folded on the chest

3 - cobra position and twisting in cobra left, right to see oposite heel, 4 times each side

4 - difficult to describe, kneeling on the floor, 1 knee down the other is up(foot is down), the oposte arm puls the up knee and torso twist oposite direction, so the tight of the leg is pressing against the tummy and pushing on the inside, chnge on the other side, 4 times each side.

sometimes I would go through 20-25 cups and doing exercises after each would test my physical abilities and show
the fitness, I would be sore all over for few days, but its great core session and test

perhaps this explain my use of the wimp term  laugh

Maybe that's why it tastes like "nothing special"? Wink

I did 5 days with no problems whatsoever, and 3 of those days were at work.  If you can fully rest after a time, you could probably get away with less sweetener for the whole period.  2 tablespoons worked for me, especially with carrying out work etc.  Oh, and the fact that it tasted awesome.

as I said I used to use upto 6 litres and spend 3-4 hours sometimes, this is done not every day of course.

Holy guacamole!  Do you mean 3-4 hours of salt water flush/exercise/toilet routine?  Almost like circuit training at the gym, I imagine.  laugh

What a pity I don't have a free 3-4 hour block of time in my calendar before, oh, 2010.  Otherwise, I'd be onto that like a shot! laugh

Thanks so much for the exercises.  I don't think I'll be doing your "commando" routine, but I will incorporate a couple of those, along with my own.

Yes Peta, I will, thast the reason for this thread.

Hey Giggles, just get up 3am and You done by 7am,

but in the instruction the whole routine only takes 1-2 hours and less than 4 litres,

it is just that I was never able to achive clean water out, so I was pushing it longer
and it also shows how bad my health used to be in tehj past and the state I came out of my mums cooking.

so it should be much easier for others

I suggest to anybody interested in this to go and do some reading, hundreds of people there posting experiences.

I am drinking lemonade during the day along with lots of raw stuff, mainly vegs, I am trying to get as much veg minerals in me before I start, planning to start in a 1-3 days.

got my answers about the purpose of cayenne - all is there.

DAY 0 - friday

friday was day 0 lots of lemonade but also some fruit and veg juices, the only fibre was cherries for lunch, I cooked big pot of veg soup (onions, zeleriac, pashnip, carrots, broccoli) and drank about 2 lires of water from the soups sometimes mixed with honey.

so day zero was hich on liquid, minimum fibres, lots of minerals and lots of calories, good preparation.

we stared to hopuse clean with hot water carpet cleaning machine, so lots of furniture lifting and lots of work with teh vacum machine - should all add to the detox and defat.

starting numbers before the MC :

weight = 64.0 kg
weist = 78 cm
hip = 83 cm
calipers measurements around the tummy : 24-15-20 in mm, average = 19.6
figures are above belly button, bellow and on the side

Jennie, just testing others recipes.

MC day 2

2liters of swf

I feel very tired and weak, not sure how much is the detox and how much it is the result of the physical exhaustion of last week - doing F1 challenges, training hard and than the house clean.
This morning the weight was down to 62.f kg
waist=76, hips=82, skinfold figures : 20-16-18, avergae=18.0
so quite a quick achievement.

I do not feel hunger, however I do like honey much more than maple, using both about the same number of drinks
using very little of cayenne and only in few drinks.

afternoon weight is 65.0 kg - so possible quite a lot salt got absorbed and now it hold the water
I am not thirsty to drink but am forcing the drinks to get the calories from maple-honey - perhaps I need to learn to drink it very concentrated and very sweet ?

When I see some fresh fruits I have really cravings for it and am asking myself - do I have give up this fruits for so many days ?

I am glad that I have no cooked cravings so far or processed cravings so far.

Hi Rudolph,

Do you have the opportunity to rest almost completely in the coming days to help with the fatigue and cleanse?  Perhaps re-reading your favourite books from the Anastasia series?  That might help, if it is practical.

Are you doing the salt water flushes and exercises too - you haven't mentioned them.  I guess you are doing the salt water flushes, as you mention the body retaining salt.  I wonder if my cleanse was gentler in the beginning because I didn't do the salt water flushes?  That extra dynamic may mean a more thorough cleanse sooner, perhaps.

Ok, ignore the question about salt water flush - I've just realised that is what SWF stands for.  DOH!  I thought you were describing the lemonade, and was racking my brain as to what SWF stood for (sweet water fruit?).  laugh

"Hang in there" with the cayenne -it is such a wonderful spice, with amazing properties.

One question - if you make a concentrated and super sweet variation, could that not lead to dehydration?  Just wondering.

Go gently,
Michelle

Hi Michelle,

I feel overhydrating perhaps, so thats the idea of higher concentration, I was drinking less concentration than advised by the programm, because I do not like such a sweeteness.

I really like the lemon part of it.

Complete rest would not be possible but today was, I had 2 hours afternoon sleep
and am going to bed shortly.

I have few new books I wanna read, that will keep me enternained, but I am nnever bord I just slip to meditative state wherever and whenever.

Hi Rudolf,

I find neat lemonjuice(sometimes with E / V olive oil) and cayenne(omiting the maple syrup) works really well.

Call me strange but I love the taste of this.

Wishing you well!

Hi Garfield,

well water and lemon only is to me the base of any fasting program, and so detox is better on it, the addition of maple or honey is suposed to deliver some sugar calories and therefore slow down the detox and not allow the real fasting mode, which should make it easy to keep on it for many days like 10 or 20, without the loss of physical energy etc.

on day 2 I was just resting, no activity at all and so that honey and maple was giving me possibly too much energy.

Morning on day 3 and I am back to 63.0 kg from 62.5 kg on day 2, so I either have to force myself moving and exercise or cut the sweet crap completely.

Only about 1.5 liter of SWF, but its going out much cleaner.
