Love Spirit,
I agree with you about how lucky we are to have partners and children but don't find that a reason to not strive to 'have it all' especially where pregnancy and birthing are concerned. It is something most of us only do a few times in our lifes and is something we never forget. The day your child is born is etched on your mind forever, it can be a wonderfull experience thats leaves you feeling extatic at one end of the spectrum or sheer hell and a plunge into depression at the other. Whatever it is like you won't forget it. I think every pregnant woman has a right to the best to be nurtured or left alone as she desires and to birth as she wants with support as she needs it.

Hi SuzF

Please understand that I do agree with what you're saying :-)

My only point was that there are women (not just myelf) who would read these posts and think "Gee, I wish I had that problem" because they cannot have children or whatever....and because most people are married with children, it can be easy to take that whole set up for granted

These comments are no aimed at you personally by the way...they are just general comments about human behaviour at times! :-)

However, if I were to give birth I would undoubtedly follow a simialr route to you guys. I've read up heaps on that gorgeous site www.joyousbirth.info - it's stunning, moving and very inspiring.

All the best

Sam

I think it would be lovely to have a birthing, I had twin boys and unfortunately ended up in hospital with preeclampsia the risks were to high for both me and my boys. Anyway I was very happy to give natural birth at 39 weeks with my husband and doctors and nurses hanging back. This was when we were living in the Netherlands and they do not give you anything for the pain either......

Sorry for the hijack of your post...
