Hay guys

I thought I would ask this question. They want Connor to have a MRI scan cause the believe that it is the bone that is damaged not the nerve. I so dont understand it cause every other specialist is saying that it is the nerves. And if it was the bones why the hell would his eye be staying open (very very very strange)

I have heard that anesthetic for a bubba under the age of 2 is really really really bad so anyone got any advise cause every little bit would help.

TIA

Lots of love Angie

Hello Angie.

First of all give yourself some Rescue Remedy! Give to yourself and Connor three times per day about three days before the MRI.

Connor (nice name btw) really will need the anethestic, it's the only way he will stay still enough to get good shots of him. Homeopathic Phosphorous is great for any ill effects from anesthesia. If you can't get any locally, ring the Organic Co-Op in Maleny. They have homeopathic remedies up there and they could possibly send you some in the post.

Anatomically, the bones could be causing the eye to stay open by sitting on a nerve or getting in the way structually so that the eye can't shut.

Good new is the the MRI does not use radiation, so there is none of that crap to contend with. yay!

Good luck Angie and keep me posted Smiley
Love, Michele.

Angie...  sending you a big mental hug.

Stargirl has given you some great advice.

I hope the anesthetic and MRI go easily for Connor & the doctor will be able to help him quickly to health.

Hi Pinky,

One of my thoughts was... how well does Connor sleep and does he sleep regularly each day?

I've had friends whose bubba's drop to sleep at the drop of a hat at the same time wherever they are. If Connor does and he transfers from place to place well, is this an option?

I guess it would depend if MRI's are very noisy. I was reading about them last night funny enough and I read that they are quite safe. I'd be more worried about the anasthetic if I were you.

MRI's are super noisy. They sound like a train coming for you.  Undecided

I would doubt very much that they would MRI without sedation. It won't be a huge anethestic where he has to be tubed. It will be pretty light, enough to get him to sleep soundly and not move about at all.

He will be fine Angie. And so will you.

Peace,
Michele.

That is so interesting I never even thought of that. Wouldnt a xray show up that there where fractures (sp?) etc or show that the bone has been damaged why do they have to do the MRI.

Thanks guys for your kind words it is really really scary knowing my little boy might be going through this. I just worry as a mum I think I am alloud to.

My niece had it done cause she had a lump on her hand and they thought it might be cancerous so she had one (could be life threatening with her) and I understand in that situation but I dont understand why this particular dr would want it done when the paed says no not till 2.

Anyway I will try and make an appoint with the paed.

Thanks again everyone for the hugs and well wishes we arnt booked in till March so I have a little room to research etc yet.

Love to you All Angie

Sending prayers for your child to heal.

I remember on curezone i read there was a formula that helps heal bones quickly if that is the case.
