I would like to grow my hair thick and long but it grows so slowly. Eveything nutrition still does nto work for me.

The only time my hair ever grew long and fast was when i was holidaying overseas. Dont know if ti was because of their nettle shampoos or different air.

But i noticed the difference from the time i was over there my hair was soft and manageable but in Australia was dry and snapping.

Any ideas?

Hiya RC. I grew up on tank water and my hair was soft and shiny and oh so healthy. As soon as I moved into an area with mains water, that was the end of it. You could try a shower filter maybe. Also I can't remember if you have stopped washing your hair with shampoo or not but I did and my hair dresser was amazed at how much more hair I had the last time I got a cut as compared to the time before. Oodles more hair she said.

Also my hair got really really thick when I was preggers with my son. Band aid solution!

I have a great old beauty herbal book that suggests some different herbs for stimulating hair growth. The most common herb mentioned is nettle - "the nettle infusion, or pure plant juice, can be combed through the hair, using an opposite stroke to natural direction of hair growth. Use daily if you can". Also parsley seed, cloves, nutmeg, rosemary.

Rosemary, nettle, coconut oil oil, rebounding, headstand(or half headstand:) head and scalp massage all help!

And of course  good quality nourishing food.

radical advice...shave your head,)-guaranteed to give you brand new thick shiny fabulous hair-and stick with eating raw foods...esp lower fat...high fruit...cool to cold showers....ocean swimming...sunshine and lots of exercise...heaps of hydration,and scalp massage!lots of sleep and happiness....

def what garfield suggested....

I read about this very thing this morning.

Apparently eating seaweed is the answer (and washing your hair in wheatgrass!)

Here is the link:

Thankyou Kittyk. I always wondered about wheatgrass when i read a raw food lady's journal that it helped grow her eyelashes and she washed her eyes out with it.

Thanks everyone trully appreciate all the advice.
