On another forum some of the ppl there are sending me beads so I know they are thinking about me while I am giving birth. And I would like to know if any of you guys here would be interested in adding to my necklace. If so please PM me and I will give you my address

Maybe we can do this for all the pregnant mum if they are interested.

Just a thought what do you think.

Hi Pinky,

I'm thinking about doing the bead thing at my belssingway also.

I'm actually interested in posting on here when I go into labour and asking everyone to set an intention for a gentle and easy birth and have people send me their energy instead of beads. I figure it's like prayer...the more people I can let know I'm in labour, the more people from all over the world sending me good energy during the birth, the better Smiley

I'd love to do that for you, Meg and Jen also at your birthing times. Do we have any other pregnant women on here at present?

What a beautiful idea Georgia. But I dont always come online every day so I would be worried I would miss the announcement.

And no offense to anyone but I think coming online to tell my online friend that I was in labour would be the last thing on my mind that is why I like the idea of the beads

I have had quite a few ppl PM me about the beads and wanting to send me one so Ithink it is up to the individual.

What is your EDD so I know to check on here more often around that time.

Love Angie

Sounds good Pinky Smiley I hope you get lots of beads. I'm doing a string of beads at my Blessingway and once Bhala is born and a little bit older, I will make the string of beads into 3 anklets...one for me, one for her and one for Malakai my son. I'd do one for Martin but he hates wearing things on his body...i think he'd prefer clothes be optional too Smiley

I'm due Easter weekend...and there's a full moon on Easter Saturday so good chance things will start rocking then!  When are you due?

What a beautiful idea to make the birthing bead into anklets for your family I love that I might do that too. One of the girls on the ABA site are sending me 3 beads one for my necklace, one for Connor and one for Bella so I was going to make them a little bracelet with it.

My due date is the 13th May I cant wait I am so looking forward to this birth everyone thinks I am mad but when you get to do the things that you want now what a bloody dr tells you I think it will be fantastic. And to go into labour naturally that is the thing I am so looking forward to. i know this one will be so different to Bella's

love to you Georgia

I had the idea before my baby shower to ask my friends to bring some beads.....  but i ended up not asking them, as I didnt think they would be that 'open' to it, and think it was silly. They are all pretty 'mainstream'.

I had a nice baby shower anyway, mum made lots of little mini treats, and we talked about birth and kids and labour etc. Most of my friends dont have kids yet though, so I didn't get much wise womens advice!

I love the idea of having someone henna my belly in the next few weeks. Anyone in perth know someone that does it? Im due on Valentine's day, so Ive got 4 weeks left.

Birthing beads are a collection of beads that a birthing mum receives from friends and family that she strings together and either holds or hangs in her birthing space during her labour as a reminder of all the people who are supporting her or thinking of her during that time. A way of feeling connected to a greater line of support at a time when it's really only you that can do the job Smiley
