Oh clover is fabulous! I told this to a friend who wanted to have green smoothies but was on  a very tight budget. She thought I was cracked and spoke to a friend who is a nutritionist. He said that if more people in the world ate raw clover the health problems of the world would be a lot less.

Enjoy!

I love the pic, Jen, and your idea of planting the clover in pots is inspired. I must try that.

Lots of love,

I haven't tried it yet either GG but I will this week. Neet it tastes strong but it's a sweet green. Not bitter. From memory. I've not had a lot. I was checking out my plants today and was overjoyed to find some clover in a pot and a great big dandelion in the garden! Woo hoo. Greens are coming folks. There are so many varieties of clover in my lawn too. It's great.

Today our family went to Binna Burra and did the caves walk. We had a ball. I took a bag of page mandarines for the walk which were beautiful and Bill took granola, Caitlyn sultanas and Brock pistachios. We loved our walk and took loads of photos which I'll try and upload in the next day or two.

We had a picnic lunch up there too which was awesome. We sat at the side of the road overlooking gorgeous views and Bill and I had our chia seed pudding with chopped bananas through it. We were sitting back to back and munching away and getting all sorts of weird looks. I could not work out why. Eating this for lunch is so normal for me now that it took quite some time for me to realise that people were noticing our food not our happy family moment! Tee hee. I must admit, a few years ago I would have felt the same way. "What the hell are they eating?" LOL.

Anyhoo... good day had by all. I got home and slept for two hours. There is a lot going on at the moment which has my heart a little torn and heavy... decisions to be made that have taken a lot of courage and thought which is very tiring but I'm glad these decisions have been made because now I don't have to think about making that choice anymore and neither do the other people involved.

So I am off to bed now. Brock wants me to read him  a story so he is going to have it read in my bed and then go to his own. Bill is watching the Superbikes. I call it his "widdle boikes going wound and wound" in baby voice! Makes him laugh...

Have a great day/night

I was laughing thinking about the looks you were getting. We each have a definition of 'normal' that we gauge the rest of the world with. Of course our normal is the REAL normal isn't it?!  shrug

Hullo lovely Pea!! It's sooooo great to see you here. I can describe it... it's like green heaven in a bowl. It could be made runnier for a smoothie but I really like having it from a bowl.  HERE'S THE RECIPEfor you. I vary it a bit. Hope you like it a lot!

I'm on the mend. It's happening slowly but surely. I've been overwhelmed by the need to sleep and sleep I have. 12 hours last night and 11 the night before. I'm getting better and recognising when I'm upset or stressed and calming down. I'm also getting better at planning so I don't get panicky. It's working!

the last couple of days I have noticed that I am keen to start the running again! Yee harr. I am so excited. I haven't even been able to picture myself running for weeks. Now I can see it and feel happy knowing that I can do it.

The lumps in my armpit and groin haven't come back and neither has the one behind my ear. The boil has cleared up and left a nice big scar tissue lump which I'm sure will breakdown in it's own time.

My skin looks fabulous and I'm feeling good. I am just now noticing that I will need an early night again tonight. I hope to be in bed in the next hour. Awesome. A week ago I still was having a hard time getting to sleep.

I put this down to whole foods. I've been eating high raw with some steamed veggies about three times a week. I'm still eating loads and loads and getting used to it. I notice that on the days I don't juice I'm still fine but the next day I'll have cravings. I figure that while I still cannot eat enough to get me through the day that juice is a fine way to do it.

My wheatgrass it looking good. I'm hoping that it's at the right stage to start juicing tomorrow. I meant to get a photos today to post but just didn't. Ah well. I'm really happy with it and my 2nd tray of wheatgrass is coming along nicely too.

I finished the first wheatgrass book and am about to start Ann Wigmore's one tonight. I love gaining knowledge.

I did stocktake today and found a book that I didn't even know I had! LOL. Can't wait to read that one either. It's about the healing powers of coconut oil and it's by Bruce Fife who is apparently a very nice man.

My kids are eating a lot better. Caitlyn dropped casually in conversation last night about the fight she had with the Government lady at school. I couldn't believe I hadn't heard about this earlier. Apparently the lady was talking to the kids about nutrition. She was telling them that a healthy breakfast to have is cocopops with low fat cows milk. what the?Huh

Caitlyn got up and told the lady she was wrong and that coco pops and cows milk were both very unhealthy. They had an argument which was not interrupted by Caitlyn's teacher because he thought that Caitlyn was right and he rewarded her later. LOL. What's it all coming too? Caitlyn told this lady that coco pops were loaded with sugar and chemical ingredients to which the woman told her that it was very nutritious. Caitlyn does not know what nutrition means so she told the lady that sugar is like heroin and that cows milk usually has pus in it. I can't think about what this other woman would have thought but apparently she didn't get Caitlyn to stand again... even when hers was the only hand up! I will reward Caitlyn myself as well. LOL.

yeah Caitlyn! You tell her.... lol.

Some big days happening here. Lots of stuff going on. Very busy being end of tax year and all. My first at this capacity. Very interesting.

I've got some photos for you from my day today...

Sacha  came to dinner last Saturday and this is the tasty salad he brought with him...

I made this curried not meat ball creation which looked kinda dubious but honestly was one of the best raw things I've ever made.

Another of the CURRIED NOT MEAT BALLS] with tomato sauce and raita, photographed served this time. Kwor....

Here is my brekky today...

And this is my prized wheatgrass... what prize? My own personal yee harr gold medal. Awesome...

Up and coming wheatgrass. Look at it's little roots. So cute!

This is the neighbours mango tree which, blissfully, hangs over our fence. Yum. In flower... lots of potential mangoes there my friends! We will have a mango party...

This is my aloevera. Very happy lil plant right now. In summer I move her under the pergola so she doesn't get burned. But she loves this spot in winter... say "aloe" to Vera... oh that was sad humour!

The dandelion that I found the other day...

Now, I went to dig up some clover from the lawn and Bill had mowed it! I cannot tell one sort from another so was resigned to waiting for it to grow again. Imagine my joy when I found this little beauty in a pot today. Put there by unknown means...

Self seeded broccoli...

Sorrell and... the other one's name has been on the tip of my tongue for days but still has not made it out of my mouth. I'm sure it will after I post...

And this one is not from my backyard but makes me smile anyhow... what a fun lil guy! So supportive...

That's my photos! Yaaaaaaaay. I'll come back and put the link for the curried meatballs recipe in there.

xoxoxo

Edited to add link for the balls recipe.

I have to admit that I was a little in awe of Caitlyn's forthcoming attitude. However we had a parent teacher interview during the last week of school term and her teacher said he is very pleased with Caitlyn's personality and that she shows high levels of respect for others. Hip hip hoorah!

Good luck with the recipe. I'm glad you found it. I put a lot of effort into that link. It did not go smoothly! LOL.

OOOPs soory if that came across wrongly          downcast     -I did not mean to sound 'condeming' of little Caitlyn - rather I was in admiration of her being  able to express what she has been taught in an intelligent and independant manner  at such a young age - well done Caitlyn.   (hence the rose)   cmon

No no! Not at all. I didn't think you were being negative at all. Please don't feel bad. I knew where you were coming from. I was just responding in case others didn't.

rose And one for you too. I didn't have any frangipanni's so a rose it is!
