Isn't it awesome! I feel so great and peaceful when I read that book. It is my most treasured possession. I'm going to buy another copy to loan out because I can't bear to be without mine.

Hey Frangi, it's a work in progress. It didn't taste quite right. I'm going to have another go at it again this week. I'll post it when I've got it right.

Thought I’d let you know that there will be Kriya yoga initiations and info sessions held throughout Australia in October. I think I might give it a go

Am I allowed to post links? I can post the link to the website if you’re interested

Veg,

This will be of keen interest to John (Oxygen2).  Jen will easily clear the links for you, if you pm her.

They sound fine Veggie. Yers John will be very very interested. I'm in need of some intense meditation first. I've decided that I need something to look at  to help me  focus single mindedly. I'm going to start with a candle and the om ah chant as taught by Wayne Dyer (wonderful Man!) and then take it from there. Starting with 10 minutes per day.

I think if I started the Kriya right now my metaphysical self would explode! And I'd rather stay intact. How wonderful that Yogananda's legacy is reaching so far around the world.

Will do Frangi!

I've just had the best day! It started with a nice lie in. I got woken up by fighting kids at around 7.30 which subsided quickly. Then I just lay there. Bill was out so I was able to lie there and do nothing for an hour.

When I felt like it I got out of bed and we went to market! Where I caught up with Swami which was awesome. I love that girl. We had a great chat. Then.... Freelea turned up! We got some oranges and lay on the grass in the sun and then.... Sacha turned up! We pretty much had  a citrus party right there in the area just outside the market stalls until around 1.30 when we all went home chatted out (almost!) and sunburned.

When we got home the kids were going to watch a movie but it was cracked so we couldn't watch it. Caitlyn and I hopped on our bikes and headed off to the video shop to return it. It was a nice bike ride. We stopped at the off lead dog park on the way home and let Bella run free with the other puppies. I love dogs. They are so awesome and it fascinates me to go to the park and watch them all interact with each other.

Bella is a bit anti social and doesn't really care whether or not other dogs are there so long as I am there to throw a ball for her. She got a bit growly and snappy today so ended up on lead. We didn't stay long because the heat was going out of the day by then so we toddled off home.

Bill and I worked side by side with a small but neccessary thing for a little while which was great. We've not really seen each other this week so it was nice to have a catch up and we've just had dinner. The kids are having an early night so I'm going to hang with Billy for awhile and just enjoy the evening.

What a fabbo day. Freelea looks fantastic! Very happy and still her lovely, lively gentle self. Sacha's been a little under the weather and needs some hugs sent his way. (((((((((hugs)))))))) Sacha.

Have a great night/day all.

Today I am kezonkered! Early night tonight. I've been up until midnight or reading until then for the last 5 days and it's taken it's toll. I'm really looking forward to a good rest.

I've got so many ideas floating around in my head that I cannot keep up with them all. I've just been really inspired by Freelea's new journal so I'm going to print out her list as a guideline and put my own together. Yee harr! I really do feel better when i have stuff like that written down.

I'm feeling that I need to get disciplined. Self disciplined that is! *wink*. I'm getting all the right signs. A few months ago Kerry told me at a picnic that the more she applies self discipline to her life the happier she feels. Then I was listening to the Happy Oasis dvd from the raw summit last year and she said the same thing! In fact she calls them Blissiplines because they make her feel so happy! Now, upon reading Yogananda's book Autobiography of a yogi again, he says that to become close to God (which surely would create a spark of happiness in the soul) that we must practice being disciplined.

So you see it's come into my life through three people who I really admire in the last little while and so I am delighted to say that this seems to be the newest branch of my life tree. I've already done the no discipline thing. So now it's the other way around.

happy days!

Eats today...

Rockmelon smoothie
nuts
Strawberry pie (recipe not great yet, still in progress)

Because I've eaten no greens I'm just going to have a very large GS for dinner. I have Euro spinach at the moment which is one of the best greens ever. I also have kale and celery. yummm!

Busy night ahead folks. Have a great one, or a great day depending on where you are!

Love Jennie

Hey Jen, Freeleas new journal is great huh-that girl rocks for inspiration-printing the list out is a good idea. I am feeling inspired by Deepak Chopra at the moment-his 'Spiritual Laws for success' give practical tasks for each day of the week. Monday is giving-focusing on giving and recieving with grace. Am sitting drinking big GS-it got dark before I could get out to pick my greens and I couldn't find a torch, so I only managed a handful of chard and got it real green with some spirulina -tastes yum though. Looking forward to some Gold Coast/NNSW raw action. My mum also is reporting her backyard is laden with fruit trees and she has a glut of avos. Can't wait.

A glut of avos! Woo hoo. Lets do the avos together. I'm so looking forward to meeting you and your family!

Sounds like a great book! Thank you for posting the title.

I'm going to be very gentle with myself today. My adrenals are buzzing this morning and I feel strung out for no apparent reason! So for the next few days rest rest rest and loads of greens. In fact, I think I'll be making myself a GS right now!

It's strange how this has happened. I slept really well last night and today I feel the adrenal buzz? Weird. It really is a buzz. It feels like I've overdone caffeine. Buzz buzz. I'm constantly working on relaxing my muscles and breathing well. A gentle day for Jen today.

Yup! I thought I'd answer in case Miss G is MIA for a few days. You can do it both ways. I like to use half watermelon from the fridge and half frozen too. That works wonders for me! Lime juice is fabulous with watermelon as is lemon juice.

Ditto what Jen says - all ways are ok.  laugh

I don't know if I could bring myself to juice a watermelon.  I personally don't include the rind, but it can be done.

I just throw the (peeled) cut up melon into the blender with a peeled and cut up lime (or the juice of a lime).  If you throw a little zest of the lime in too - it is heavenly.

There is just something so refreshingly beautiful about the watermelon/lime combo.  In summer, it is one of my absolute fave drinks.  Just scrumptious.

Sounds delish!  Do you take the seeds out, or just blend them up as well?
