Yes well I nearly wept today Harls! The hills aren't that massive but the inclines are quite lengthy & I have been tackling a killer headwind for the last 2 days! I am tired but the hills are sort of addictive...I celebrate big time when I get to the top no matter how long it takes me! I was down to 7km per hour today & reefing on the handlbars like never before.

Im in Cumnock which is about 100kms South of Dubbo.
Hey Simon, yeah all the locals were telling me how hilly Orange is!

Ive been taken in by a lovely family here! & they are setting up a place for me in Dubbo maybe too...country kindness is alive and well

the more we burn the more we learn..

pain is just weakness leaving the body.

any ride where you dont get carried off the bike when its over, aint a good ride...lol!

tuff hills end but tuff people dont..

I'd love to give you a hug Free! At the top of the hill of course. You are doing so well. Look how easy challenges will be once you have done this! If anything comes up you'll just be able to recall a 2 day headwind and know that if you can ride hills through that then you can do anything.

Hey thanks Cornzy I like the analogy - pain is weakness leaving the body :-D
Hey Sandy good to see u! I miss our chats :-( Anyway you can get up to the Gold Coast around the end of July? Would be so great to see u in the flesh again. Great photo too babe xx
Jen Im giving myself a hug from you thankyou ;-) Well someones got to :'-(
Suay it is wild & wooly that's for sure & so are the sheep! Its amazing how frightened they are of me, their heads come up, they stare, then bolt. Its quite funny actually except when one got its head caught in the fence, it freed it eventually though.
I will post a photo of a tap drip frozen in mid air, now that's cold!
I'm on the way towards Dubbo probably today, the back way avoiding the highways but not the hills!

Hey Jen I can't believe im going to be up there soon! & to see you & the GC crew will be so awesome....ahhh loving the virtual hugzzz xx

Luke! You were actually in my thoughts today! I saw yr profile on one of the threads & I got to thinking about how you were going up there.  Thankyou so much for the encouragement, it means so much to me. Oh yeah warm weather here i come! Hope u are enjoying yourself up there. :-))

I just did about 50kms in the hills & Im now about 30kms out of Dubbo, I was going to go to Dubbo today but I stopped at a place called Wambangalang! It's a little environmental education centre funded by the government.  The people who run it invited me in, I told them why im riding so far & then they  offered me a place to stay in my own self-contained unit as well as internet! I'm getting so spoiled at the moment....not really ruffing it well except for in the hills & cold weather.

Going to head for Dubbo tomorrow & probably check out the zoo, I don't usually like to support them but this zoo is over 300hectares so its a far cry from the tiny cages zoo animals usually are kept in.
I think I may meet Simon off the forum on Sat too.

Lovin' reading about your ride Free - very inspiring (though 'inspiring' doesn't quite cut it, just can't think of a better word!)

I hear GC to WA is a nice ride... hint, hint... lol

Aargh Emi...GC to WA?? Maybe in 2009 ;-P Glad u are enjoying my journey xx
In Dubbo, went to Zoo today but felt sad throughout....our fellow friends in cages, ok bigger cages than most zoos but still cages....I can't see a Cheetah reaching speeds of 100kms in a hurry :-(( & the tiger has been pacing up & down its fenceline for 2days flat....guess you could liken that to a person in a mental home rocking themselves holding their knees in the corner of their room.
