My life is slowly falling apart, and has been for years. I don't know how looong I can keep going on like this. It's effecting my children in such a negative way. A lot of my issues are due to food choices, yet my food choices are due to the underlying 'stuff'. I need a kickstart on so many levels. I feel like, at this point in my life, I need someone who can help me get motivated, inspired and treated. Anyway......I have been looking at health retreats and a) they are way out of my price range at the moment and b) I have to kids who I am home educating and one is still breastfeeding, so I don't want to be away from them.

I've thought about a personal, raw chef, but that's out of my price range too. So, I was thinking that maybe someone out there might know of a family friendly family or place who could take on this woman and her kids for a couple of weeks. I don't know when....would have to figure that out....and a payment arrangement and bartering of some kind could be worked out. It would need to be someone or some place that could help me deal with stuff in a real and practical way. I won't go into the whole story, but some of the health issues I am facing are ~ leaky gut, candida, depression, anxiety, insomnia, bloating, foggy brain, anger, lack of motivation, excess fat and weight, unfit. Oh, that list looks horrible....but....I'm not only those things. I am also an artist, an avid researcher, friendly, 'happy' (in front of other people), an aspiring gentle parent, an excellent 'cook' and I make beautiful clothing.

I have tried doing this myself and, for whatever reason, I just find myself unable to do it at the moment.

You sound so much like me on the health side of things.
I have restored my health with 3-4 green smoothies a day. If you cannot get into preparing raw start slowly with the green smoothies till you get your energy back. Great motivating book is green for life by Victoria Boutenko. THe green smoothies are helping to restore my anxiety breathing and my bloating is going away. The greens balance out the fruits.
Start with that and then build up from there. I can explain more in detail how much energy im having now after my period of laziness and not being able to look after my daughter. Slowly and you will regain your strength and energy and health.

I've thought about a personal, raw chef, but that's out of my price range too.

There is a lady in Sydney (can't remember her website - I'll get back to you) who will come to your house and teach you very simple raw meals. It is really cheap too, I think you only need two people at $20.00 each. Don't quote me on this price but I am 100% sure it is this cheap.

Here is the website for the lady in Sydney:

http://www.fruvenu.com.au/

I was totally wrong about the price but still $60 for a two hour session is not bad:

Cost for 2 hour session  - $60 per person. Includes demonstration handout with recipes & information. Minimum booking 2 people. We encourage children to enjoy the demonstrations as well (for free)

She may give you some ideas or inspiration to get your health back on track.

Good luck.

laugh    Thanks KittyK   -    I do have cheaper rates for groups of 6 or more.   And I LOVE my raw food!

Preparing it, looking at it, eating it, sharing it, experimenting with it, growing it, photographing it, showing others how to do the same.   One could say I am a teensy bit obsessed.
