What is Rejuvelac or pro-biotic

And  2 tsp Nutritional Yeast the same as normal yeast and if you have a yeast allergy should you add it.

Also (lots of questions) I saw on Jamie oliver the other week he just did a whole heap of sprouts and they looked fantastic does anyone know a list of things that you can sprout like lentils etc.

I know a lot of question please forgive me

rejuvelac is made by soaking soft pastry wheat berries in clean water and soaked for 48 hours. That liquid that is strained form the soaked berries is called rejuvelac.

Hey Angie,
Rejuvelac is definitely raw though I think it can be hard to get it right... it is supposed to be a fermented drink but there is a fine line between being fermented and being off (ew)! Do a basic google search, you should be able to find instructions on making rejuvelac. If not, let me know and I'll pm you a recipe... i think there's one in a book I have.

Nutritional yeast is definitely not raw. It is definitely not the same as regular yeast. It is a yellow powdery that supposedly has a cheesy taste. If you have a yeast allergy I would avoid it.

You can sprout pretty much any legume except red kidney beans (supposedly they kill you if eaten sprouted). For example lentils, mung beans, chickpeas, quinoa. There's more that I can't think of just now.

Hope I've helped!

Buckwheat is great sprouted and used in recipes like chocolate crackle!

Buckwheat is not a wheat, or even a grain for that matter, it is the seed from a plant belonging to the same family as rhubarb.

I became ill for about a week with hallucinating and diahorrea from eating a meal of sprouted red kidney beans...
